Defensive midfield. Amartey has a lot of pace and is not shy of a good tackle. Good in the air too. But physical challenge is his main force. If paired with Fer not many players are going to run through our midfield unchallenged. And I think he is only 23, so he can improve a lot under a good manager. I think Potter spotted Amartey when the latter played in Sweeden. I watched him playing for FC Copenhagen, and you could see he was a good player. He impressed me also when he played for Leicester, but you know that Leicester have a big squad so it's difficult to be in the starting XI. A couple of years ago Leicester bought Croatia international Andrej Kramaric who had bagged something like 52 goals for Croatian club Rijeka the year before. At that time Leicester had 5 strikers, so Kramaric never got a chance. Vardy was also on fire that season and they won the title. Next year Leicester sold Kramaric to Hoffenheim and he became one of the regular top scorers in the German Bundesliga.
What I am trying to say is that Amartey could be really good for us despite not playing regularly for Leicester. He will definitely add some much needed steel to our midfield, and that's something we have been missing in the last couple of years. His speed is fantastic, and having a speedy defensive midfielder who can tackle means we won't be so vulnerable at counter-attacks.
