Can we plough a furrow through the tractor boys ambitions ?

It's time to bench our front four (Yates, Cullen, Paterson and Lowe) and give Walsh, Cooper, Congreve and one of the kids from the academy some playing time.

Duff ill-equipped to manage at this level. Every game seems to confirm his limitations. Sure, our players could be better but behind the scenes it looks like he's doing damn all to improve them. As for his tactics, substitutions and other stuff, it's just beyond description. I see we've brought it back to 2-3 but it should be more like 2-7 if we admit the truth of the game. Radio comms say that Ipswich are different class and far better than us. From what I'm hearing and seeing, it's impossible to disagree. This is down to Duff. Imo he's been an abysmal failure. He inherited a decent squad who knew how to pass the ball, retain possession to take the sting out of the opposition and to score goals at a reasonable rate. We've gone backwards at a faster rate than a World War II Italian tank during his tenure and, if the Liberty suits have a grain of intelligence, they'll get rid sooner rather than later.

When you force natural goal scorers … Cullen … to play 90 yards from where they best perform you get the sort of sloppy defending you get resulting in fouls. Cullen is trying but he’s a fish out of water

You see it. I see it. Many others see it. Cullen knows it but the only one who hasn't a clue about it is Duff. I've played under better managers than him!!

We've played two teams that I consider are way better than us in Leicester and Ipswich and there would be a third if Sunderland had a striker who was halfway decent. They play the way I'd like us to but, imo, we haven't got a cat in hell's chance of doing so as long as Duff is in charge. He just doesn't know how. I'm still trying to work out the style he's trying to get us to play and that's a BIG concern. Some stats:

POSSESSION: 37-63 SHOTS: 22-7 OT: 9-4 CORNERS: 6-2 FOULS: 15-9 GOALS: 3-2

Radio comms seem to be more honest about our performances than those on Swans' TV and they were quite categoric in saying that Ipswich were far superior to us. The stats above beg one obvious question, which is how did Ipswich manage to create over 3 times the shots we did with far less possession? The worrying thing for me is that I doubt if Duff would have the foggiest idea should he ever be asked that question.
