Brum comes to town

Walsh said our 'defenders' were all over the shop for their third goal. We can't even beat a team that's lost their last FIVE and now they beat us as I type. Walsh now saying the defence was also to blame for their fourth by marking no one in particular and being very loose. Said it before and I'm saying it again: Martin, do us all a favour and fuck off!!

Atrocious …. Now we know where the truth lies and Martin loses all credibility.

Trundle giving it large.

A rank average manager would not have squandered this match the way we did. Martin out, KOL to take over until the end of the season please.

It hurts to see them waste a good first half. I don't think I can watch the remaining games if Fisher is in the net.

Martin is not going to bench his pet for Webb. Our only chance is for Winter and Recruiting to grab the Bull by the horns and get a free agent sênior keeper or emergency loaner. Vorm is 39 and retired but I’d take him back in an instant.

No question in my mind and hasn't been for some time. Martin is NOT UP TO THIS JOB and has to go. He is killing our top 6 chances as surely as night follows day. Do the decent thing, Mr Martin, and RESIGN!!

Here are free agent keepers: Free agents

Can any of these possibly be any worse
Searched in vain for someone I've heard of. Pointless exercise anyway as Martin won't drop his pet Fish unless he breaks a leg and both arms!! Yes, I do believe our so-called manager is that bllnker visioned. Championship level football has caught him out and shown he's not good enough. He steered MKD to a mid-table position but, as soon as he left, his successor took the same team to the play-offs. Tell you anything? It should have told our recruitment bods something but stupid is as stupid does.

Imo, we have incompetent idiots who own and run our club none of whom are fit for purpose. They seem to know fcuk all about football and are too thick to take professional advice, which surely must be being offered by the likes of Curt, Trunds and Leon behind the scenes. For God's sake, even Ian Walsh is telling them what they're getting wrong on a weekly basis in radio commentary. But do they listen? Today's game should supply the answer.

The season is cooked. Too many glaring and obvious deficiencies in the utilization of resources and match day execution. Not enough passion on the field.

Ntchm is paid for 90, plays for 30, coasts after half-time until he's taken off. Then he's taken off for Cundle not Whittaker which would have put Cullen, Whittaker, Piroe and Cooper on the forward lines. So it seems that Martin is treating Whittaker as a #9 not a #10.

Tactically, I don't understand taking off Piroe for Darling. Piroe didn't look knackered ... he just looked Piroe, a little blank but no more than usual. From that point forward it was full steam ahead for Brum - 3+2 be damned. That disrupted our setup and wasted a sub ... and we paid for it later. The way Lati went off I am thinking that he is now done for at least the next match and at least that brings Naughton back onto the field.

There was no-one on the field in command during the last 30 minutes (nor the first 60 for that matter). There was nobody marshalling the others, nobody yelling out directions, nobody picking up the players that were dogging it, dog tired, or just doing stupid shit. There was no one CB who was in command at the back on corners. Fisher certainly wasn't.

Cabango is our senior defender. Nice lad, keen as they come, has his limitations, but otherwise highly functional. We seriously shouldn't have to expect him to shoulder the burden but he has to step-up and be our coordinator in chief. He gets no help from his keeper nor the other two CBs. Do they have team briefings? Surely somebody should be barking out orders under these situations especially after a rash of subs.

We had the absurd situation of conceding the winning goal from one of the tallest guys on the field being marked by Grimes. Who am I? But even I know that's plain fucking stupid. Meanwhile .... watch Darling's positioning on the setup for that corner. Tell me WTF he thinks he's doing there. And Fisher is just flapping and floundering - a tall lad but acts like he's the shortest keeper on the planet.

Our challenge at this point is to stay above Cardiff. It may not be total protection against relegation, but at least it keeps our pride intact.

Still trying to get my head around this result.
First half 81% possession 72% for the entire game.
Yet we allowed them to equal our on goal shots of 16 and on target shots of 6.
I hope our manager has learned a lesson about the timing of double subbing which in this instance probably cost us the game.

At the rate Cardiff are losing their games that task won't be so difficult. Though I am not so sure about us staying above Wigan, Huddersfield and Blackpool.
Yes the nails are going in the coffin at a nice steady rate.

Watch the post match press conference. Martin near the end admitted that the game exemplified the issues they have had all season. He refused to discuss conversations he has had with ownership. He looks like a guy who just turned right into a Tyson jab. He is still standing but not too sure where his legs are. Has he written checks with ownership this past week he now knows he can’t cash.

You wonder if the board didn't sign anyone in January because they didn't want to pay for players chosen by a manager who won't be here much longer to coach them. Perhaps they feel the team is strong enough to avoid relegation (which it is), and would rather conserve the money to give a new manager something to build with.
