Seems that the big clubs in Europe are determined to form their own elite league competition. This has been mooted for a number of years now but, far from going away, the idea has been quietly kept alive, is now gathering a head of steam and is very likely going to happen. What the likes of Spurs will make of it I don't know because they seem to have been excluded from the list of potential clubs involved. Please Mr Levy no end will that. Here's the Sun article:

No doubt they are secretly negotiationg to establish European Superleague. National FAs should throw them immediately out of the national leagues and let them rot while they are waiting for the Superleague.
