Obviously individual pace is good to have but I think that Duff's 'pace' will defintely involve the entire team playing with more tempo and intensity - hence the emphasis on fitness levels in training.
Key now signed and it's rumoured that we might swap Piroe for Everton's Ellis Simms. They value him at £8/10 million but I reckon Piroe is worth more. Thoughts?
We don't have a Simms-type striker in our squad. Excellent in the air, excellent at holding up the ball and physically an animal. I see Ginnelly as Piroe's replacement (+ pace), Cullen is a fox in the box, so Simms is exactly what we need in attack.

We still have Whittaker and Joseph and Piroe ... and best of all Cullen. I'm hopeful that Duff will give an unbiased opportunity to Cullen, Whittaker and Joseph.

Hmmm ... Marty Margetson's son Kit just signed with us as an academy goalkeeper. I wonder whether that was agreed as part of the deal in signing Marty.
