I do my best not to feather the nests of the board. I don't buy food and drink, programmes or anything from the club shop.
Recently I've been using Zeelo for transport to matches - mostly freebies or half price deals and it suits me very well.
But I'm thinking that, as SCFC are promoting Zeelo on the website and the buses drive into the car park, they are probably paying for that facility. Bit of a moral dilemma for me.
Any thoughts?
It's the same scenario for the burger van.

Thanks on both counts, but I don't do burgers and I don't have transport problems (bus from Mumbles). It's not a practical problem, I just want to do all I can to reduce their P&L.

That gives me a dilemma BTG I don’t go out much but I do go to the football, when I go I have some food there it’s my only respite from the crazy schedule I have for myself. Some might say it’s indulgent and I should give it up to stop supporting the regime - I take their point; but I haven’t done that see, the thing is loads of people have stopped going and using the facilities; that hasn’t dented the ego or pay-packets of the three amigos or the consortium; what has happened is that the lovely kids and oldies who rely on it have lost their jobs - I know most of them and they were SO sad at the end of last season and scared too for what they’d do if they lost their jobs; which many of them did. So I go and I speak to the remaining staff who are overjoyed to see people and are knocking themselves out to stay in work - so I’m not sure if I’m doing right or wrong; but at least on THIS forum I can ask the question xxx

I never thought of that, Lady. As always it's the poor bloody infantry what gets caught in the crossfire.
Aye Real people with real jobs BTG - the ripples don’t affect the Directors one bit - just the kids and some lovely older staff who serve them and their cronies drinks and canapés and rely on the sales of food, drinks and goods to keep the wolves from their doors - as I say it’s a tricky one:unsure:

Join me and blobs for a burger. The problem is there will always be people who want to eat and drink inside and buy a stupid 3rd change shirt. I will not give another penny to the yanks... Including renewing my season even though that means losing my cracking seat!!

Yes I go , but if the yanks and big nose are still here at renewal time my money will stay in the bank. The failure to buy woods when he wanted to come the failure to buy Joe when he wanted to come .. there is a pattern there. Where has the money gone?

I’m not sure that we will (honestly) get to the bottom of that one until many years have passed, unless the Trust take the lead in proceedings; what seems clear is that there has been catastrophic mis-management throughout our premier league tenure; my guess is that cash was lavished and squandered over the seven years to a spectacular degree; I was interested to listen to some Saturday morning punditry about Cardiff’s abject failure to remain up once promoted and the financial mess they got into because they were promoted.

Craig  Bellamy was saying they won’t make the same mistakes again, dobbing in all the players that got them there and spending like drunks on players and other purchases that are just not needed; who remembers the hot-pod beds they bought? WTAF?? So then add to that the local old boys network; jobs for the boys and inflated prices because of who the buyer is rather than what is actually being bought and you start to see that our profligate board were riding the gravy train and screwing every last drop out of it before flogging the carcass to the Americans; who knows? Maybe they bought a pig in a poke, maybe they’re as crooked as our home grown chancers - the truth is out there - somewhere, will anyone unravel it? If the money wasted hand over fist by our council over several decades is anything to go by - no; the people of Swansea will issue stoic shrugs and accept that this sort of thing goes on all the time; challenging it is bad for your health and catastrophic for your wealth.

As you say LGG "unless the Trust take the lead in proceedings". The question on every ones lips is why not. Sumbler has been voted back into the chair a month ago, and the silence is deafening, what spiel did he dish out to get re-elected?. In it's present state just what is its purpose?. Surely the result of the Cardiff hearing is enough to question Jenkins' handling of the fictitious meeting that he chaired, or are they going to take it laying down and believe the chairman of that tribunal that it was "just an oversight by Mr Jenkins." That (non-existent) meeting was put on record for a reason, and questions need to be asked.

An 'oversight' is usually something that has been forgotten. What Jenkins did when he forged those minutes for a non-existent meeting was a deliberate and conscious act designed to deceive and misrepresent a situation. Surely that is illegal? I know for a fact that it isn't acceptable business practice.
