Are we talking fitness issues again? We KNOW how to pass under Martin, so the problem must be that the players are no longer moving properly/enough to create passing options.

Blackburn now 5-1.

Felt promising. I was fearful because of the 4-1 loss last February. A lot to be hopeful about. I hope it's just a matter of the players improving as a team.

Finally a win. Not the most compelling victory. We’re not going to get past better teams with this pedestrian pace, unless we intend to bore them to death so that they fall asleep.

Think the play warranted a better result at half time, probably bored ourselves in the second half, became a nail biter second half, game could have and should have been put to bed in the first.

Fulham away on Wednesday. Could we ask for a sterner test of the squad, its character, Martin’s nous at match management. What team will he select … I don’t think our rotation patchwork is going to do here. We need our best XI on the field.

Dhanda has fallen down the pecking order. He’s not even been given a seat on the bench. Shame, he looked to have promise and should have been able to excel under Martin.

Some stats from the game:

Possession: 57-43 SHOTS: 7-5 OT: 6-0 CORNERS: 3-2 FOULS: 14-18 GOALS: 1-0

Unbalanced highlights showed how we fell away in the second half and our fitness levels must be improved considerably so we can put in 90 minute performances. That said, what about Luton? We did that in reverse with a crap first 45 and an excellent second half. If we can consistently produce our game over its full course, we could do something this season.
