Swans Bid Accepted for Joel Asoro

We’ve (allegedly) had a £2mil bid accepted for Sunderland forward (winger) Joel Asoro. He made 11 starts and 15 sub appearances in the championship last term scoring 3 times. This all sounds good to me, hopefully it gets over the line. COYS!

Yeah this looks promising! Really liking the fact we're being linked to young players (banda) and after oli's comments it sounds like our younger players will get a shot. I get experience can be useful but feel we've been way to conservative in the past with young players unless we're forced to play them.

Not heard of him tbh. But I hope he's a Potter signing (if it happens) and not one of Jenkins' beauts!

Agree about blooding young players but they will need experienced older heads around them to help them find their feet.

I admit I don't know him, but we should stop signing players from the relegated clubs. We pay £2 m for him and at the same time we let Ken Sema go to Watford for £2 m.

I see he started his career in Sweden so there's probably a touch of Potter in the signing.
Is there room for him without dumping one of our experienced wingers?

Seems that he's equally able to play as a central striker as he possesses blinding pace! Now I like the sound of that package. He's young; VERY quick; can play wide or through the middle and, whilst not yet prolific, scores goals. Plenty for Pots to work with there! And, as he's Swedish, will feel comfortable communicating with his manager. I sense shades of the type of player that Pots likes in the mould of Ghoddos and Sema. This could work and prove a good signing for us.

I could see him having success playing under Oli or out on the flanks. Will be interesting to see what his work-rate is like.

Looking at his vids, looks quite skilful, and has a bit of pace. Should fit in well at Championship level (for starters).

Joel's move now confirmed.
Seems like he's been signed for the first team squad unlike the other two youngsters who will start off with the under 23s
Pitty if Dhanda and Govea start off with U23. We need a creative attacking midfielder who can score some goals and we have only Olsson at the left back position. If they are good enough they are old enough. Look at how brilliant 19 years old Mbappe is at this World Cup. Löw probably regrets now that he hasn't included Leroy Sane in the German squad.
Govea, Byers, Dhanda, Asoro, James etc. should all be included in the first squad imho.
