Surridge Recalled

Sam Surridge has been recalled by Bournemouth which, I suppose, opens the way for us to loan in Rhian Brewster and/or Kasey Palmer from Bristol City. If we don't get either then maybe Liam Cullen will be offered his chance to step up. Maybe too soon for him right now but, at his level, he's a proven and consistent goal scorer. No doubt in my mind though that young Liam is a fine prospect and will become a big asset for us.

According to Liverpool Echo, Liverpool are likely to make a decision on Brewster's future after the FA Cup game with Everton on January 5. Now when Surridge is gone I'm pretty sure we'll sign Brewster.

Hopefully we'll replace him with some qualty, but who now is to be the trusted one to make that choice. If it's Brewster then the lad speaks for himself, or will it be as Ivor suggests we will once again delve into the academy, hence keeping the yanks happy financial wise. Decisions made in the coming weeks are going to be the the make or break in the second half of this season. Personally I don't think there's anyone at the club capable of picking us up by the bootlaces and putting some consistant good football back into the squad. Our league position is quite false, far more down to the bad form of surounding clubs.Bristol C. above us have lost four of their last five games.

I'm willing to give Brewster a chance for sure, one of the things about him is that he is quick and does like to get in behind. Something we haven't had in a striker in ages. That also being said he's not had much experience so I don't think he'll come tearing the Championship up but I'm hopeful.

I actually wouldn't mind Kasey Palmer on loan, he's not getting in the Bristol side due to some manager/player relations issues apparently and he is a big guy who likes to get into the midfield battle; something we desperately need. I remember he dominated the midfield when we played them at the beginning of the season.
