You reap what you sow .And players reap what a good manager sows. They are losing, and they look across to the side line for some inspiration from him, and what do they see, a statue like figure with his hands in his pockets and that everlasting vacant look on his face, absolutely clueless what to do about the situation. The first time he takes his hand out of his pocket is to touch fists with the Luton manager on the final whistle.

Cooper hiding from the rain was bizarre. I desperately want the man to suceed but that style of management isn't going to win you games.

Garrick really hurt his career with that move if he does indeed get a 3 match ban. At a time when we need all the healty players we can get. At least he made contact with that punch.

I went back to see how many points we've lost this season with late goals. I got back as far as 4 matches. We lost 5 points all given up in extra time. We could be in a playoff position right now. I will go back and do the entire season.

Garrick has lost something from when he first appeared for us. He's bulked up and lost his burst of speed. He's no longer a winger; he's going to have to make it as a #9 or he's done. He hardly tried to take anybody on today never mind came close to skinning anybody. Compare to Montero ... a one trick pony, but what a trick.

Montero was a far trickier player who could consistently beat players and get in crosses. Garrick doesn't have that in his locker and, unless he gets some decent coaching, he's not going to progress as he should. And that applies to ALL the players we have on our books. They have gone backwards and it doesn't help when they play in a team that lacks motivation, energy, a coherent game plan and seemingly anything else that constitutes what could be a successful team in the future.

What the FUCK were Trevor Birch, Leon and Curt thinking of when they appointed this useless no-mark as our manager? Is that why Leon has moved on? Did it finally dawn on him what he had done? We let one of our own, imo a far better manager in Cameron Toshack (with Richards), leave the club. Honestly, I dare not put into print what my true feelings are about Cooper's ability (lack of) as a football manager at this level. Other than being able to attract certain of his former England youth players to the club, I can see nothing of any description that remotely qualifies him to manage us. God, I can't tell you how it hurts to say this but even Garry Monk would get a better tune out of us than this incompetent that we're stuck with. In fact, there's FAR better talent/ability managing in the lower leagues right now than Cooper.

I just hate this!! I so badly want to praise Cooper but, for the life of me, I just can't make a case for him. He's not up to it. Period!!! But do the powers-that-be, such as they are, at the Liberty, see this for themselves? If not why fucking not??!! Anyone who knows anything about football can see what a complete fuck-up he's making of the job. He's got the talent in the squad but he's totally ignorant about what he has to do to make the best use of them. And I believe the players feel the same way about him too. Of course, we hear the usual soundbites in public about them having confidence in him but they have to say that don't they? Present a united front and all that - probably written into their contracts. But no one on earth can convince me that these players are playing for him the way they should be. They go through the motions and that's it. For much of the game against Boro, and again today, they just phoned it in. Look at how Ayew, who always gives his best, was frustrated, annoyed and out of sorts with everyone because he can see it and doesn't want to put up with it - even if the others will. That's his professionalism as a top player showing through and why he will leave us at the end of the season to join a more professional outfit. Yes, I know the gluttons who run the club want his wages off the books but, even if they wanted to keep him, Ayew would leave anyway. I don't blame him at all.

Ayew is under contract through he end of next season. He's stuck with us and we're stuck with him. He' getting the shit end of the stick.

Andy Pandy ... in his first utterance today in the post-match interview ... "We only have ourselves to blame". Wow! And there's me thinking we weren't playing ... because we were not playing. And there's no "ourselves" in this. We are not ourselves and have not been since the Potter influence faded last September and the players collectively figured Andy Pandy out. There's only one person to blame and the buck stops with Andy Pandy.

Did Leon leave because he really wanted to spend more time than a lock down would give him with his family .... or because he was too embarrassed or frustrated with what's been happening with the squad.

Tate could do a better job at this point. He's got zero experience as a head coach ... but he's got a temper apparently and wouldn't take any of the shit on the field that's being passed off as professional football.

The same thought about Leon crossed my mind, I think it's also fuelled by just how quiet Birch and Curt have gone. Whatever happened to Birches pledge to keep a regular update to the fans ? Haven't heard from him in months. The big question is has he got the balls to bite the bullet and sack him? He surely knows it was a wrong move, but is never going to admit it. Even Jenkins had the balls to rectify a bad appointment. As much as we all hated him, I don't think he would have endured Cooper for this long.

Actually, he directly accused the players for the lack of mentality and for their attitude. Attitude??? The whole f****** game he was standing ten yards away from the dugout. He cowardly retreated from the battlefield and left his disorientated troops without any help.

Cooper being slaughtered by the fans via comments in the media. The beginning of the end is it not when a manager publicly turns on his players? Made some interesting comments about Celina as well and I imagine his outburst would have gone down like a concrete Zeppelin in the dressing room. We wanted, and needed, a strong character to be our next manager. Thanks to Trevor Birch (what the fcuk has he done for us anyway other than take a fat salary out of the club?) instead of a MANager we got a BOYager in football terms.

Cooper condemned himself with his own words about the team lacking mental grit. Everyone knows that instilling a strong mental attitude in his team IS A BASIC ESSENTIAL OF BEING A FOOTBALL MANAGER. If a team lacks motivation to perform then that is obviously a management failure. But then that is just one of a catalogue of failures involving team selection, tactics, substitutions and a complete absence of being able to change to another system when what we've been doing hasn't worked - Plan B in other words. I won't even go into the lack of skills/passing training and fitness levels etc.

For the record, some stats if you're interested......

POSSESSION: 63-37 SHOTS: 11-7 OT: 3-2 CORNERS: 6-2 FOULS: 12-19 GOALS: FUCK ALL - 1

If you've ever watched any of the videos featuring Pep and City, especially footage of Pep during pre-game and half-time then you will have witnessed a coach constantly cajoling and sometimes losing his shit with his players ... world class top, top players ... for not doing it the way he wants it done or when he senses an emotional down shift ... a master at motivation not just top technical acumen.

Consider Andy Pandy's demeanor on Saturday. Luton's boss was persistently in the technical area working his team. Andy Pandy was in comparison AWOL. Tate was more involved.

This season is done and dusted. Yesterday's performance offers no hint of the mentality and cohesiveness and execution level required to win virtually every game left to keep the aspiration of promotion alive. This cannot be allowed to continue into next season. There has been a drain of talent from the Club. First the players, then coaches (Toshack et al). It has to end. We are bleeding ourselves dry of value.

When the team was announced I posted a question about Celina ... lazy in training or buggered ... and Andy Pandy's comments definitely identified him as not committed. Begs the question WTF.
