Wow ! how's this for sour grapes.
Shaun Murphy is complaining because he was knocked out of the UK Championship by an amateur, " it's not fair, amateurs should not be allowed in the building. this is our livelihood." at one stage he was 5-1 down to the Chinese amateur Si Jiahui. eventually losing 5-6. He went on to say "I have earned the right to call myself a professional snooker player. He hasn't done that, he doesn't have the right to be on the same table as me."

My advice to you Shaun is "If you can't stand the heat get out of the f**king kitchen, the bottom line is you came up against someone better than you"

Spoilt , overprivileged, self agrandising wankers. If you can't beat an amateur and lose with good grace perhaps you should lose your pro status !

Contrast this with the amazing conduct of those beaten by Fallon Sherrock at darts. Without exception they congratulated her even though getting beaten by a newcomer and a woman at that, must have grated. Not that I'm being mysoginistic here because I've been absolutely delighted with Fallon's progress and look for other lady darts players to emulate her achievements in what has previously been a male dominated game where mixed genders compete.

In addition to the Shaun Murphy story, in 2019 he applied to qualify as an amateur for The Golf Open, he's on record as saying, " Golf isn't my livelihood" "Relative to the other players I'll be playing against it doesn't really matter to me if I win or lose," "I won't be under the pressure they are under, most of them want to win, I'm just trying to have a good day out."

The above just shows what a two faced slimy sod Murphy is. I used to think he was a gentleman, but that's out the window now.
