Should we lose this to push the scum deeper into trouble?

I would rather keep our recent run going but a loss to Huddersfield would increase the pressure on Cardiff.
I hope Liam Walsh and Cooper start this one , rest Ntcham and Paterson on the bench even though both have impressed in recent games .
It's time to go with the youth who will be needed next year , the more games they have the better prepared they will be , leave out the loan players (Cundle, Sorinola ) as they won't be here next season.
I predict a comfortable 3-1 win.

Exactly @The Blobster ... anybody not with us next season should not be involved in the remaining matches. This includes Manning. On the presumption that Naughton is offered another year that he will accept, he should play LB and then we have Darling at RB.

I see that Sondergaard is only contracted to the end of this season. This implies that either he was on trial or that the Club really have no regard for him and by inference little regard for Webb.

As for the match result - we should take care of our own business. Cardiff are perfectly capable of achieving relegation all by themselves.

Cardiff have: Sheff Utd (a) , Watford (a), Stoke (h), Rotherham (a), Huddersfield (h).

A lot of games against teams scraping for something. Maybe they win the two home games, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I agree with Martin on this occasion in that the higher we finish the more attractive we will appear to potential signings in the summer. Better quality players will be more interested in joining potentially successful teams - especially if there's decent win bonuses to be had.

As for the game, Terriers will want it more than us. They're scrapping for survival whilst we have nothing to play for other than position. Also, Warnock, like him or loathe him, is a wily character and will know which buttons to press. I expect a win but would not at all be surprised if we drop points here.

Agreed, they have to attack but that will make them vulnerable at the back. If they give us pockets of space to move the ball towards their goal we'll destroy them.

Agree with @Yankee_Jack that we should take care of our own business. Cardiff have also a game in hand over Reading, QPR and Huddersfield, and a much better goal difference. I think it's going to be between QPR and Reading.

We have a chance in hell of making the playoffs still. We have to win the remaining 5 games, harvest 15 points and pray crazy shit happens to other teams. We had an unlikely outcome at the end of Cooper’s first season to get us into the playoffs. Could Martin get lucky?

Not THAT lucky! However, we still need to finish strongly to boost confidence for next season. Frankly I don't want us to go up yet. With this team we'd get ritually slaughtered every game and I don't see our owners investing anything of substance to recruit decent players. All they'll be doing is rubbing their greedy paws together in anticipation of the money they can rake in for themselves and their investors.  Wish we had owners like those at Wrexham. Maybe they've got mates who'd be interested in taking us on.

Ben made his league debut for the Swans as a substitute against Huddersfield on 26 November 2019. He is only 22 yo and already has 126 appearances for the Swans.

Interestingly how both Ben and Nathan improved since we started playing four at the back. The bad thing is it took Martin almost two years to realise that his three at the back formation, with two of the centre-backs pushed wide and high, has been unecessarily suicidal . At least I hope he realises that.

Martin has dumped Darling in preference to Lati ... disagree with this. No point in playing Lati if he's already as good as gone. Same with Manning.

Would prefer to see Cooper in place of Paterson. Same reasoning - Cooper is the future, experience only advances that.

Cullen starts ... that has to be a no brainer.

Radio comms singularly unimpressed with this display. Seems we might be helping the Terriers cause after all . Warnock is an old hand and his team is just containing us until the final minutes of the game when he will go for the win. Comms concerned that Cullen is out wide at times as they, like any sane man, KNOWS that his best position is sniffing out chances in the box. More crosses would help him too.
