Having my usual Xmas breakfast of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon before heading off to pick up my daughter and her mother who are coming to mine for the day. Enjoyable for me because I don't have to cook a thing. My daughter, Sam, insists on doing the lot including the washing up afterwards - although her mother and I lend a hand with that. Be easier this year. I have a tabletop Hostess server that keeps the food piping hot and a couple of weeks ago I also bought a Hostess trolley (for a song) that will accommodate the entire meal. That means we can get rid of the real messy stuff such as the pots and pans and put them away before we sit down to eat. :)

I always feel a sense of guilt at this time of year being very aware of the unfortunates who have no homes, little to eat and little of anything at all. I do what I can with charity donations but it's never enough. I do know that @Ladygargar and her family always do a lot and this year, amongst other things, they bought and delivered 50 space blankets to help keep some homeless people warm in the cold weather. Great gesture to be admired.

Anyway, the day is almost on us and I wish you all happiness, good health and prosperity.

Morning everyone, hope you all had a great day yesterday! :) Had my breakfast and over-indulged - 3 scrambled eggs with cream and finely chopped spring onions on toast and a whole pack of smoked salmon. Lovely! We had a HUGE lunch comprising turkey with streaky bacon atop, slow cooked brisket of beef, pigs in blankets, cauli cheese, roast and boiled potatoes, root mash, roasted carrots and parsnips, peas, broad beans, tempra battered sprouts, fried sprouts with bacon lardons and mini toad in the holes. We had started with baked Camembert cheese with cranberry dip and a small salad and finished with Black Forest gateau and cream. I'll be eating what's left for the next week!! So if anyone wants to come to mine to give me a hand to eat it, you're welcome!! But I guess you'll all be the same. :)

Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed and let's hope our Swans put the gloss on it with a 3 point Christmas prezzie today.
