Unfancied and very experimental Wales beat England 20-9. After going 0-6 behind Wales started to click and eventually the score could have been much higher. We left at least 3 tries out there and one of them was disallowed on a very subjective technicality. We did score 2 other tries and England failed to cross our whitewash. A much deserved if unexpected win and I'm looking forward to the reverse fixture at HQ next Saturday. I guess England will be going gung ho for revenge, so it'll be interesting to see how we perform up there.

Wales managed to blow the return game against England despite the fact that at one stage England were down 3 men playing with 12 against 15! Although we were fielding very much a second team as a trial for the coming World Cup, quite how the idiots managed to lose is beyond me. Happy to say that the great majority of them blew their chance and won't make selection. All they deserve!!

Terrific game of rugby in the World Cup with Wales edging Fiji 32-26. We were 32-14 up and Fiji made a storming comeback nearly nicking it at the end. Fiji didn't deserve to lose and, due to some dunderheads in the Welsh team, could have won it. Those idiots shouldn't play another game in this tournament. Some people are just too thick to take on board certain instructions (discipline for instance) no matter what their talent. And Wales have too many of them.

Liam Williams kicking the ball in the 79th minute while under no pressure and kicking it into touch on the full was unforgivable, gave away ground and possession needlessly, and he is one of the senior players . All Wales had to do was hold onto the ball for 1 minute to make the game safe , his choice of kicking rather than holding nearly cost us the game .
Great game to watch though , the power and physicality of the Figians was awesome.

Manager Gatland in post match interview was not pleased referring to various 'dumb' things regarding decisions (Liam Williams) and yellow cards. Wouldn't like to be certain players in that dressing room for sure. They deserve what they get and I hope they're dropped for the next game to send a message to the rest. Do your job properly and THINK!!

Brilliant win by Wales in the World Cup. They absolutely hammered Australia 40-6 and did a real professional job on them. Being honest, I was surprised. Oz are always a tough proposition and I expected they might well win. They didn't and are now out whilst Wales will progress, top of their group, to the quarter-finals with a very decent chance of reaching the semis.

I watched the game with LadyGG and her family. As ever, she fed me as though I were a Third World orphan. We had a lovely beef (melt in the mouth) stew with lots of buttery mashed potato and home-made Yorkshire puddings deliberately cooked flat and soft to mop up the gravy. Absolutely fcuking delicious! And, better still, she gave me three containers of it to take home along with some eggs from her chickens.

I always have to text her to say I got home safely and I described my day as: fabulous game; fabulous food and fabulous company. It was all of those things for sure. :)

Don't want to get into politics but, if you disagree with this ludicrous 20 mph speed limit, PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION ONLINE. This has to be one of the most unpopular pieces of legislation ever inflicted on the Welsh public. Currently the petiton has reached over 427,000 signatures, apparently only 16,000 short of the number who voted that drooling idiot, Drakeford, and his party into power at the Senedd.

Apart from the fact that it was enacted without any reference or input from the Welsh public, it is downright dangerous. Driving at 20 mph entails constantly checking your speedo, which means you are not paying due attention to the road, other traffic and pedestrians. I have had a number of near misses, either just avoiding hitting the cars in front who had braked, or being hit from behind by another driver in similar circumstances.

Further, driving at this speed, particularly up a hill, you have to use a lower gear and this increases engine revs. In turn this increases the exhaust emissions, which impacts on the environment. The cost to the driver is reflected in higher fuel consumption and higher engine wear. Businesses are also being hit by this measure. The leisure industry is ALREADY reporting a reduction in trade especially from tourists who do not want to risk a speeding fine and inconvenience by coming to this backward country of ours.

At a stroke, this clown Drakeford has almost reduced us to the dark ages. Btw, I'm told he doesn't drive himself and gets about on a bike, so why should he care? Before we know it he'll insist that someone should walk in front of our cars waving a red flag - shades of yesteryear to be sure. I'm absolutely in favour of road safety but this fool is taking it too far.

So why is this post on this thread? I drove to LadyGG's yesterday as I posted above and, in a bid to avoid residential areas, I used major roads to bypass them. This involved travelling an extra 10 miles and put 15 minutes on the journey one way. This can't be allowed to continue and I hope there's enough of a backlash to drive this fool and his party out of power. Rant over.

Wales out of the WC beaten by Argentina who, in fairness, played well. BUT they were kept in the game when they were behind by the replacement ENGLISH referee. A Pumas player made full head on contact with his shoulder on a Welsh player, so severe the player had to go off for a HIA. Under modern rules this at least a yellow card if not a red. The referee maintained that not all head contact is foul play and took no action. What a load of bollocks and he knows it. Even accidental head contact is now punished in rugby because of the prospect of serious injury and this was no accident. The Puma came in to clear a ruck went over it and smashed Tomkins, the Welsh player, on the head, who was doing nothing other than defending the ruck.

But what really gets me is that in rugby, the pundits and even the other team don't call things as they are, particularly where the officials are concerned. It's considered 'ungentlemanly!' Not 'sporting'. What a crock of shit. Rugby rules are so convoluted referees have a huge amount of discretion and many decisions are put down to so-called interpretation - which is a HUGE get out for biased referees. And rugby is infested with these types.

Far from being criticised for a terrible decision that might well have cost Wales the game, the studio pundits especially in the form of Gareth Thomas (Welsh of course), actually praised the referee for his clear explanation of why he didn't award a foul. They totally ignored the fact that it was a WRONG decision under the current guidelines. What arrant hypocrisy!! The trouble with rugby is that everyone bends over backwards to show that they are good sports, good losers, instead of having the courage to say it as it is. In my opinion, they are not being good sports they are being totally gutless in order to show themselves in a good light. I hope the newspapers at least will do the right thing and I know the fans will.

All that said, I do praise the Pumas for having played a very good game. They might well have won anyway. All I'm saying is that the referee gave them every assistance by making a decision that could well have proved critical in the game.
