Let's wipe the smile of Martins face , a draw would be a good result today but in all honesty I can only see a home win for this game . Saints have quality all over the pitch whereas we only have journey men to oppose them .
Sadly I predict a 3-0 trouncing and a long journey home for the Jack Army .

Depressing.

Yes it is depressing, but I only post with honesty , Saints still have a Premier league quality squad whereas some of our squad are league 1 at best .
It's not easy to be a Jack these days , the Wank owners have ruined our club .

We are 7th in the away form table … not as shabby as you might think. Soton are 2nd in the home form table.

Martin is going to want to put on a show … translates into death by a thousand passes. Soton have only a net GD of +10 in their las 6 home games, less than 2 goals a game - bare minimum for a win. Passing without scoring does not a win make. Don’t we know that.

Sheehan’s version of Swanselona is starting to see more penetrating passing combinations and finally much better use and production of hitherto lack luster and fringe players like Walsh. We now have an experienced 4 in midfield of Grimes, Fulton, Walsh and Paterson. Tymon and Key are providing useful width. We have height and threat on attacking set pieces. Lowe is having to get accustomed to a relatively new role … the #9. Sheehan has been harvesting points at a rate of 59% … pretty decent and yet we’re still of the mindset that we’re under performing. What does that portend for this and other games.

our bench has strength in quality and experience. And we have a pretty decent keeper. I’m anticipating that we will dominate the ball more than Martin would like, which will make him and the team frustrated and willing to take more risks. Our press is going to be important into pegging them deep and forcing fumbles. I like our chances. Optimistic for a draw or much better. We score first … we’ll score more.

You misunderstood me. It's not your post that is depressing, it's the situation we are in that is depressing. Our football is depressing.

Weak midfield. No Key anywhere. Myk on the bench. Cullen has to be RM in this team. It’s a Duffer jumble.

clearly a lot of Christmas hangovers.
