Commentator SCATHING about Nordfeldt. Says he doesn't trust him to cope with anything given the form he's in. Then sarcastically remarked that Nordfeldt actually caught a cross when it came in. I hope that Potter is of the same opinion and that we've seen the last of this keeper for this season. Make that for good!!!

Terrible performance. Any positive statements about this game are pointless attempts to put lipstick on a pig.. Season done. Play players for next season now. Benda has to start in goal.

Potter apologizes. OK, so he should. But better yet. Stop fucking around with a keeper that frankly is not interested in putting his body on the line and stays rooted to his goal line as if somebody has nailed his boots into the ground.

When we first visited Villa Park in the Prem under Rogers, I went to that game. In the hospitality section at half time I saw Jimmy Rimmer (Jimmy Rimmer - Wikipedia ... an interesting read). A sad sight to be sure (obviously never looked after whatever money he made), but the remarkable thing other than the fact that he stood alone in that bar, was that every finger on each hand was deformed. They pointed and bent every which way but the way they were supposed to - I'd never seen anything like it. Rimmer was a keepers' keeper - solid, brave, not afraid of commanding is domain and taking one for the team. He never thought twice about putting his hands where they needed to be.

Nordfeldt is nothing close to Rimmer. We will never be promoted with this guy in goal, and we most certainly wouldn't want him goal in the Prem. He provides no support for his CBs on set pieces and offers no physical presence in his 6 yard box. He was a disaster in the second half.

Totally agree with this but let's not let our defenders walk away without blame because they were SHIT today - and not for the first time this season when they've cost us points in games we would have won but for them. Note the way QPR flooded our penalty area when they scented blood. In CJ's short clip, I counted 6 players in the box with two more hovering on the edge to pick up scraps. They hunted that ball like a pack of hounds fighting to get at a deer. And our defenders acted like a defenceless deer. We have a lot of talent in our team but yet again I have to question attitude and commitment. When we are allowed to play, we murder teams. When they get in our faces it's a whole different ball game. Worrying!!

Further to the above post, WOL rated Nordfeldt at 3 with the same for Naughton and Dyer. No one was rated above a 6 and you aren't going to win football matches with ratings like that. Potter described us as weak, which seems pretty much of an understatement. Some stats:

POSSESSION: 28-72 SHOTS: 15-9 OT: 7-1 CORNERS: 8-8 FOULS: 13-10 GOALS: 4-0

From their limited possession QPR contrived a shooting ratio of 53.57%. We managed just 12.5%. On target shots to overall shots gives them 46.6% to our 11.1%. That's a pretty damning set of stats and indicates that we were faffing about with our possession whilst QPR were clinical and incisive with theirs. Certainly a bad day at the office.
