We are playing without an attacking midfielder. How on earth are we going to score? This is like under Martin too defensive.

Beginning to think that CJ is right and that some players are trying to sabotage us. Has Duff lost the players already? I can't believe that a team could perform so badly as we are without it being deliberate.

Can we please get Thomas on for Piroe and Cooper on for Ntcham.
Duff must be as thick and disinterested as his players. This what you get for playing the second and third choices of lower teams. That prepares you for fuck all. Cardiff at least played Porto in their warm ups and although they lost 0-1 the experience must have been beneficial.

Underwhelming performance by too many players punctuated by a Fisheresque fuck up in goal and a total lack of creativity going forward. The only press on display was the crease on the shorts.

Our better players through previous games were left on the bench. The “seniors” showed a level of ineptitude that could easily be bettered by any side down Ashley Road.

I don't intend to waste any more time right now on that shower of shit. Suffice to say that this was about the worst display I have ever witnessed from a Swan's team. As @Yankee_Jack said, I can honestly say that I have played in teams that would have slaughtered that pathetic bunch tonight and I'm sure he could say the same. Message to Mr Duff: Cameron Toshack would NEVER allow a team of his to perform as badly as that.

Holding out hope that this isn't a sign of things to come. Nothing in attack, a lot of poor passes one of which lead to the only goal.

My final word tonight on that debacle I was stupid enough to sit down and watch. If Michael Duff thinks that that sort of display is going to be acceptable to the fans, he'd better think again. And damned quickly!! It was crass beyond description and any repeat of that sort of performance will have the fans baying for his head before his backside even warms the managerial seat. He's had a warm weather training camp abroad; he's had ample coaching sessions; he's had some decent new players and he's had several warm-up games yet tonight is the sum total of all that preparation???

That performance showed failure at almost every level of the game on an epic scale. There was not a single iota of anything resembling good football for the entire game and every one of our players stunk the place out without exception. He might claim that he's working hard but he'd better start working a great deal smarter than he has been because he's making Russell Martin look like a coaching genius. And that takes some doing for sure. Right now, even at this early stage, he's looking like a failure. He'd better start sorting it and soon.

Fisher cannot start against Rovers. He has to learn that his novice level lapse of concentration and technique is not acceptable. Then we have the 60 minute guys. What has all of the “hard” work they’ve been doing accomplished. Other than injuries to Allen Ginnelly and Walsh, I saw nothing demonstrated during the game that we in any way had an edge in the physical department over Oxford. The same players were fading into the background yet again. The only player that showed that he had any interest in being there was Fulton.

ogbeta is the latest invisible man. did we trade him out or is he seriously injured
