We should have moved on a contract extension before preseason.

However, Abdulai looks like a highly promising replacement. So good, that he needs to be on the field, somewhere, anywhere but on the bench or in the stands. I think he could step in as a Wood replacement. Nathan TJO looks like a candidate. As does Brandon Cooper, if he could just find that something that makes him overlooked at the moment.

We paid £300,000 for him last summer, so even with a hefty sell-on to Boro, £10 million would be a very good deal. He is not worth that much. When has he been MOTM? When did he put in a dominant performance that made us all go WOW?

With all of these outbounds, we still have a very strong squad. We have a hefty midfield in terms of talent and experience. But perhaps, we're playing our midfield upside down. Grimes is too deep. We should have Allen as the deep midfielder and move Grimes further forward, let him be more creative and a shooting threat from the edge of the box alongside Fulton.

Good to know. Gives the club some negotiation room, but if he wants to go and the club activate that clause to keep him here it won't end well. I'd still take the money.

I liked Piroe but I agree he was a bit slow, didn't have a good first touch. He did play defense sometimes and didn't seem to pout about his assignments. We will miss his scoring. It's good for Cullen and maybe we have something in this Ukrainian.
