OUR LAST AWAY GAME - CAN WE TAME THE TIGERS

Anyone remember the 7 - 4 thrashing , Yan Molby's last game as manager ? We've had some poor results up there but also a 4-2 win .
We are currently the divisions form team , let's hope we can keep our winning run going . I don't think we will get into the top 6 even if we win our last 2 games but pride is at stake and I want us to finish with a bang , not a whimper!

A lot can happen and a lot can go wrong at the business end of the season. Make or break can result in more break than anything else.

More of the same from the last 2 games and we could sneak in. I like what I'm seeing. If we make it Joe Allen comes back into the mix.

The 'experts' rate our chances at 2% and I wouldn't disagree. But miracles can and do happen remembering what happened a couple of seasons ago when we tuned Reading in the last game of the season to sneak an unlikely play-off spot. But I'm not holding my breath this time around. We've left it too late and players' individual mistakes along with some of Martin's bizarre tactics/team selection etc, have given us too much to do. Hull are a decent outfit and could well beat us on their own patch killing our hopes stone dead in the process. Of course, given our recent form, we're in with a very good chance ourselves. It depends on who wants it most on the day.

Judging by our recent form we are favourites to beat them, and I think we are going to win this game.
It won't be easy because we'll be without Fulton and Walsh (injured) whilst Joe is suspended. I'll be watching Blackpool v Millwall tonight hoping that Pool will do us a favour. Not likely but there's hope....... 🙏

Blackpool still have a chance to avoid the drop. I expect them to fight like hell. I wasn't too impressed with Millwall recently when we played them. It could go either way, but 'Pool have as good chance as any to pull out a win.

Luton, Millwall and Coventry together with Burnley and Sheff. United have the best defences in the Championship.

When you look at the league table all teams with good defences, apart from Stoke and Watford, are in the top half, and all teams with poor defences, apart from Middlesbrough and Swansea, in the bottom half. Both Middlesbrough and Swansea have managed to compensate their leaky defences with a good attack. Middlesbrough have actually scored most goals of all teams in the Championship. Had Martin switched to four at the back earlier this season we would now be in third or fourth place preparing for the play-off battle.

I dont' see any problem because we have one of the best midfields in the Championship. We still have Ntcham, Grimes, Cundle, Cooper, Paterson and Whittaker. Martin has plenty of options.

Millwall have scored another one. Now Coventry and Millwall are favourites to finish in the play-offs.

I see ex Swan Stephen Dobbie was on the touchline as interim coach for Blackpool. Anyone care to tell me how in God's name a shit team like Millwall can almost be in the play-offs? It's a mystery to me for sure. By the way, although he only performed in bursts, Morgan Rogers the Blackpool 25 caught my eye as a potential loan signing for us now Pool are down.

Rogers is a Citeh loanee and they don't deal in crap! He's an 'Unders' England international at 15/16/17/18 and 20 levels, so he's making consistent progress and he has physicality at 6ft 4" and youth on his side at just 20 years old. I reckon he could be decent raw material for Martin to mould. He plays as an attacker or AM. Thoughts?

See my post #7.
I did but I still think they're a crap team. I wouldn't watch them if they played in my garden. What did you think of Rogers? He had one burst down the right wing where he showed some pretty decent skill and pace and finished with a very good shot that the keeper fended away. If he played in the right team, with some good footballers around him, he could be an asset. I liked the look of him.

I'd like to see more of him before making any judgments about his abilities as a player.
There are definitely many overlooked players both in the Championship and in the lower leagues that would shine in a proper team playing for a proper manager. I think that you could make a team from the National League players only and be competitive in the Championship under a good manager.
