We have signed Nathan Broome Nathan Broome - Player profile 23/24

Free transfer previously with AFC Wimbledon. Age 21. Arrives with just 7 EFL appearances to his name, and after arriving in Wimbledon in Jan 2022 on a free, he apparently didn't impress them much.

We allow Benda to leave. We have Rushworth on loan - presumably with call back provisions. Lewis Webb is out on loan to Caenarvon (shows what professional football thinks of him). And Fisher is the only keeper with real experience on our books ... and we all know what we think of him.

From Riches to Rags. No way to mount a run for promotion.

Transfer market is reporting the fee for Benda at €1.15m.

His contact was up in the summer and they figured to cash in now. I guess £1 million is good business. Strange Fulham would come for an injured keeper. They must rate him highly. Benda was good, he won promotion with Swindon. We all know he would have earned us a few points last season. Fulham has Rodak and Leno ahead of him. Pray Rushworth doesn't get injured.

Benda didn't want to sign a contract extension, he is recovering from injury and his contract expires next summer. So, selling him for £1m is a no brainer. Rushworth is a good goalie. Not perfect, but good enough. Duff needs to address our defensive line, ensuring that our three centre-backs are focused and that they don't lose shape as often as they do.
