This is deja vu all over again. I commented when Potter left making a comparison to the time when Martinez left and Sousa came in, with reference to the players and goals that walked out the door or became unavailable (Scotland, Gomez, and Bodde) ... 40 goals disappeared.

And here we are again facing the possibility of being stripped of goals. We've lost James who would have been a very potent goal creator and scorer this season. And now this situation with Oli. You can't replace these goals. Look at the nightmare Sousa had ... Pintado, Kuqi, Beattie (Mr Sick Note).

The sort of news that will have that pair of bloodsucking bastards rubbing their hands again, undoubtedly Birch will have been instructed not to work too hard in his efforts to keep them.

Losing James is already a big blow, losing Oli would be an even bigger one. On the other hand, £20m is a huge money for a Championship striker, and I don't think the club can refuse such an offer if it is on the table.

Losing players for good money is not a problem, our recruitment is. We are not being linked with any quality players who can replace Oli and Dan.

Oli and Dan can be replaced for only £5m if we buy two players from, for example, Denmark.

1. Andreas Olsen, 19 years old, right winger, last season he scored 23 goals in 34 appearances for FC Nordsjæland. He is one of the biggest talents in Danmark and can be bought for £4m.

2. Kamil Wilczek, 31 years old Polish striker, scored 54 goals in 106 apoearances for Brøndby, last season scored 22 goals in the Danish Superliga. I think Brøndby would sell him for £1m.

£35m in for Dan and Oli, £5m out for Olsen and Wilczek.

With the possibility of Mike VDH going, and the even bigger possibility of us not spending on a replacement , Chico Flores is available on a free, should still have a couple of good seasons in him at 32, would supply a bit of muscle needed at the back, and wouldn't think his wage demand would be great.

Just read up on some of his recent life, would still love to come back, says his happiest and best footballing days were at Swansea, along with the best fans ever, still keeps in touch with all the old squad on 'whatsapp'. Pretty sure if he did come back he'd be assured a very warm welcome from the Swans fanbase.
Says he was left with no choice when Laudrup left and Monk took over, when Laudrup asked him to join him, it was the only realistic solution. Yet he wishes Garry Monk every success in his managerial career .

When you’re driven to brick somebody stands to reason that you’re not going to be able to play for them.
Actually he denies that ever happened, and knowing the Monk we know now it was possibly a charge concocted by Monk due to Chico taking his team place from him, Chico admitted there was a bit of a fracas. Just a thought.

If Oli goes .... we're left with Borja, CBR, Ayew and anybody else that bubbles up from U23. Borja looked useful in his appearances - turn of speed, tight control, willingness to work. We could also play Routs as a #9, which I quite liked last season.

One thing we know ... we're not spending money we don't have to so we are very unlikely to replace Oli from outside.

I'm expecting good things from Borja this season, new manager, new ideas, we had a similar scenario with Routs, ignored by Rodgers, along comes Laudrup, brings him in from the cold and injects new confidence into him, he hasn't really looked back since.

We , as a club cannot afford to turn down that sort of money for any player.
Let's hope that a decent percentage of that sum will be spent to reinforce the team , blame the yanks if that doesn't happen !
Until then get behind the team on the pitch and support our jack bastards !!!!!!!
