4 medicals lined up for Monday , keeper , 2 defenders and a striker.
Pederson , ex Brum defender , and a striker whose name I can't spell (he's foreign ) to add to the ones expected in on loan from Newcastle and Brighton.

Saw Ashby playing in the States against Brighton. He was marking Mitoma (?) who is a real handful for most defenders. The Japanese comprehensively did him out wide and crossed for a Welbeck tap in. But other than that Ashby was busy, quick and liked a tackle. He won't have to deal with the likes of Mitoma at our level so I think he could be a decent asset. He didn't go forward too much as he had his hands full with Brighton's talented attackers but I think he'll do okay for us. He's young, fit, athletic and will want to impress to futher his career at Newcastle.

As @CroJack suggested, this is not good news for Cullen and has definitely put the cat amongst the pigeons in the forward line. Now I understand why Whittaker was sold. Clearly, Duff is not happy with what he’s seeing up top. Thomas is lucky he can land back in the U21 for another season or even get a good loan out. But for everybody else it’s bust a gut time. There’s nothing to say that the likes of Yates and Ginnelly and Myk are going to be the keys to the magic kingdom … but Cullen and also Piroe now have to smarten up their shit.

We have an over abundance of forwards, a limited number WB/FB, and a situation developing with keepers once Benda is back. There will have to be out going to balance the books … I would have to think🤷🏻‍♂️. Although Duff may like and be insisting on a bigger squad to prevent complacency from setting in. Last season, too often Piroe looked like there was nobody home.

The squad is being rebuilt almost overnight. The only roles not being reshaped are those occupied by Grimes, Fulton and Allen and the CBs … although we may not yet be done in the CB department. There must have been some very interesting discussions and debates over the past six months, beginning with the Club not signing players in the January window and the fall out from that with Martin and then their reluctance to renew contracts with Manning and Lati, and extend Martin’s contract. It seems ownership was just not happy with what was happening, where things were going and the people involved. Fair play to ownership. We all griped with good reason, meanwhile behind the scenes plans were being hatched.

Club need to figure out how to spell the lad’s name:

Myk is 6’5 … otherwise known as a BMF. If he has speed and technique as big as his height he’s the new #9. Somebody to bang the long ball to, and target with crosses. Martin’s Madness is officially dead.

he’s got himself a 3 year deal and we have an option on a 4th.

As happened with Bony and Michu, this lad is just going to make our CBs work harder in practice. Win-win all round.

And you don't pronounce his first name My-kola, but Mi-kola. Mi like in Do-Re-Mi, and kola like in coca-cola. So, his nickname should be Mick, not Myk.

According to WhoScored, Mick's strengths are "defensive contribution" and "aerial duels". He also likes to tackle while committing fouls often. In other words, a physical forward who plays a high press and provides an outlet for high long balls. Seems like a textbook Duff player.
