Late evening visit to Legoland

Can we beat the scum and go for a treble double ?

The form book says no , but it's a Derby and the form book goes out the window .
Will Duff use his new toys ? I hope they make a difference .
One of the young lads in my darts team has bought his ticket , they have to board a bus at the Liberty at 4.00 pm , no food or drink allowed on the bus and the game doesn't kick off till 7.45 pm. Sod that for a game of soldiers !
Can't wait for this one , we are due a good performance but I'll have fingers crossed , you know where I'll put the Cork and my nerves will be in shreds hours before kick-off !

I'm not getting my hopes up because we've been so bad. I have absolutely no confidence in Duff (he's our Robert Page) as I don't think he has the ability or the experience to compete at this level. What worked in the division below won't work in the Championship. I believe that if we do start getting results it'll be down to the players and not him. That said, if he shows he can cut the mustard with his methods and move us up the table, I'll be happy to eat humble pie. Right now, as far as I'm concerned we're in a relegation battle and that's down to him because our squad of players is better than that but that's where his gameplan and tactics have brought us.

It will be interesting to see the line-up for the Cardiff game.

I would play Lowe, Cullen and Ginnelly up front. Cullen has to play. Lowe and Ginnelly give us some pace and trickery. Paterson, Yates and Big Mick on the bench.

In midfield, Patino/Paterson for creativity, Allen/Fulton for experience and Grimes/Fulton again for experience.

A four at the back with Tymon on the left and Key on the right. Pedersen at left-back and Darling/Cabango at right-back. We'll need Darling up front for set-pieces. Fisher, Ashby and Cabango on the bench.

Rushworth between the sticks.

Cabango, Cullen and Cooper are unlikely to feature, perhaps Cabango is the exception, as Duffer will have been working with others in their positions over the last two weeks. @CroJack calls the forward line correct; it is what it should be, but we’ll have to wait. Yates will likely start in preference.

Unfortunately, I think we're going to see a three-man defence at the back again, with Tymon and Key as wing-backs.

what was intense about it?

I noticed Webb was in goal for a good chunk of the work. I thought he was out on loan.

I think Lowe is the key tonight I hope he starts. He has done well in the derby before. It's also about time we test the fitness of our players. I'm glad Duff is working them in training.

A three at the back (3-5-2, 5-3-2), Pedersen as LCB, Tymon as LWB.

As I predicted Grimes, Allen and Patino in the midfield.

Defensively more solid, but a four at the back would give us an extra man in attack.

Duff is playing not to lose.

Humphreys on the bench. Darling starts - shocker there. No sign of Big Myk. Yates starts again!

I'm ok with Darling as long as he doesn't give penalties away. He is actually good at blocking opposition crosses when he plays on the right side, and we need him up front for set-pieces.

As for Humphreys, as far as I remember he plays on the left side. Pedersen is more experienced, which can be important in this derby. Pedersen - Tymon could be a good combo on the left side where we have been vulnerable this season.

I agree that Cullen should play up front with Lowe, but let's see.
