Jackie Charlton passed away yesterday 10th July.
Well remembered for his contribution to England in winning the World Cup in '66, Also became a Leeds legend. He went on to manage Irelands national team and had some great success at that

Aye, RIP, Jackie. Limited player but very, very good at what he did best. And what a character he was. :D

Key Player
He played at the Vetch in ‘68 for the full Leeds team that Revie brought to play in Ivor’s testimonial.

Leeds won 3-2. Big John and Ivor scored for the Swans. On Ivor’s goal, the ball was crossed from the right wing to the far post. Big John ... retired for a couple of years at that point and around 38 to 39 years ... climbed all over Charlton to head the ball down to the spot for Ivor to sweep in and volley home. Bremner immediately started barking at Charlton ... who just shrugged ... after all he was done by Big John, no shame in that.

Jackie said that Big John was at Leeds when he first joined as a youngster. He stepped out of line occasionally as kids do and was left in no doubt by John that he was out of order. He said he was in awe of John from the moment he trained with him and maintained the highest respect for him throughout his life saying he was the finest footballer he'd ever seen. Some accolade.
