Irreplaceable Huw Jenkins and financial guru Leigh Dineen

Yesterday a Swansea fan with Twitter account @footyrhys had a private conversation with Leigh Dineen. Although he promised to keep the conversation private, Rhys published it on Twitter.

Rhys wanted to know the truth behind Narsing's posts on Instagram. Narsingh has accussed Swansea owners for not letting him play because they wanted to offload him to cut the wages bill. Narsings posts have been posted from Narsing's official account which has been suspended afterwards.

Some other Swansea fans have read Narsingh's posts as well:

Here is the conversation:

Ok, let's forget Narsingh and see what Dineen is saying.

1. "Forget investment. The club had to find 50 million in savings to survive."

2. "Our revenue this season went down by approx. £70 m."

3. "Last season our revenue was £120m, this season it's £60m, but we still have to pay all the wages. So we needed to offload."

4. "We couldn't afford £6m for Ryan Woods."

5. "I wouldn't trust anybody else (than Jenkins) to deal with the transfers. 16 years experience of doing so. Do you know of someone better that knows Swansea City?."

This guy can't do simple math. He is full of shit.

First he says our revenue this season went down £70m. £120m - £70m = £50m.
In the next sentence he says our revenue this season is £60m. I think our revenue this season is going to be more than £60m. We'll get £41m in parachute payments; income from sold out Liberty, merchandise, sponsorships etc. and £40+m profit from transfers?

He says we still have to pay wages. He implies we have to pay as much in wages as last season, which is bull****. Our first team wage bill is now down to £20m which is an average wage bill for the Championship.

He says we had to find £50m in savings to survive. Well, if our revenue is £60+m and our first team squad wage bill down to £20m, how come that £40m is not enough to cover all other expences?

Thanks @CroJack for your informative posting. I'll need time to digest it all but sure as Hell, there's little truth coming out of the Liberty these days. All we get are lies, distortion and fudging. If we couldn't afford the £6 million for Woods, why didn't the club didn't say so from the off? How come all the newspaper and online reports were allowed to flourish if the club knew all along that we couldn't afford him? It was just a ploy to keep the fans quiet and the Liberty has now become no more than a Viper's nest of lies and corruption.

Brilliantly posted CJ - sorry I didn’t see your post earlier - I did however see the Facebook post this morning......The lunatics have taken over the asylum for sure; clearly Mr Dineen believes he has given his best years to the club, and is indignant that people should think badly of them; clearly he’s on the side of the board and Jenkins et al - what is actually required is a proper and thorough appraisal of events and anyone complicit held to account which probably should be supported or demanded by the Trust; but where would you have that:unsure: oh I know - in a Court.
