Tough fixture this , with Watford on a high after their 4-0 demolition of Stoke , but we go in with high hopes after our win at WBA, however if we are as sloppy in defence as we were on Saturday we will have a trouncing !
I'm hoping for at least a point from this one so I'm keeping my fingers crossed 🤞

In my opinion Watford have the best squad of all Championships clubs. Their players are physically strong and technically gifted.

The bad news for us is that Slaven Bilic has been appointed as Watford manager last week and I know he is a good motivator. Against Stoke they created 5.30 xGoals which is almost half of what they had created in their previous 10 games. I am also sure the crowd will be behind them and it won't be easy for us.

The good news is Stoke were really poor defensively, the first Watford goal was scored from offside and a couple of goals should've been saved.

I would shut the shop against them and play defensive and counter-attacking football. Obafemi up front, Cooper and Piroe behind, Sorinola and Manning as wing-backs. We'll need Obafemi's pace to counter-attack. We simply can't afford playing Naughton in the middle of the back three against these physically strong Watford players. That's why I would play Cabango in the middle, Darling on the left and Wood on the right side of the back three. And I would play Fulton and Ntcham in the defensive midfield to counter Watford's physicality.

This would be my line-up:

Hard night in prospect and this is a game where I would be delighted with a draw. The game is live on Swans TV, ko at 19:45.

Ntcham is not a 90 minute man. Cooper will come on at some point - a good burst of energy in the last quarter of a game.

With no Cullen, Obafemi and Piroe are going to be knackered towards the end of the game.

I am not optimistic. Naugton can't defend against big, strong and tall Watford attackers. 3:0 to Watford.

We need Piroe in the box. QUOTE="The Blobster, post: 39666, member: 6"]
Why don't we let Piroe take the free kicks at goal ?
Ntcham efforts there were weak at best .

That's fine if we beat the wall !
I'm talking about direct efforts at goal , we don't seem to have anyone capable of scoring from them .

We're fcuking around at the back again when players are tightly marked. Vary it and go long when hard pressed; it keeps opponents honest.

Wyndham Evans adds a big fat zero to the comms and, for me, actually detracts with his senile and puerile 'non-analytic' and obvious comments. Just occupies a space better taken by K O'L or someone serious.
