Cyrus Christie has signed on loan from Fulham till the end of the season , this after most news outlets said the deal had broken down .
Cyrus is eligible to start against Huddersfield on Saturday . He will replace Laird as a right wing back . He is an Irish international with 29 caps to his name .

If he was so good why have Fulham loaned him now and all of last season. We will discover this guy’s shortcomings soon enough, at 29, he’s peaked and is on his way down. Let’s be clear this guy is so good that he can slot into Martin’s Madness but our own players who have been here all season can’t.

i am underwhelmed and unimpressed with the way our squad is changing and being managed.

Square pegs round holes clueless

as Harry said: football is a simple game, it’s people that make it complicated.

Martin excels at making it complicated. We have the talent …. Ffs make it simple and let them play

Well he did have one season in the Prem recently and played a full season at Forest. Though he hasn't donned his boots since then. It looks like Naughts is staying out of position then.
I don’t understand … hasn’t donned his boots … what does that mean… why

Well, let's give Cyrus a chance; give him time to find form and fitness and to bed in with his team mates. He just might be what we need and there's no way of telling until he's played enough games for us to see what he offers. Of course, if we had proper owners who cared about the club and invested in it, we would be setting our sights a lot higher. But ever since they slimed their way into our club on their lying bellies, we've been fighting a losing battle. I'm afraid the likes of Christie are all we can look forward to until those parasitical leeches are bombed out.

PS: It would be a great help if Russell Martin made PROPER use of the resources we do have!!

Bony is still without a club and in the area, if we're in the market for freebies, just saying. He wouldn't sign for Newport as he didn't want it to affect the perception of him and lose out to some higher division in Europe.

Personally if I was him now I'd sign for Newport and see out the last 2 years.

If a mutually acceptable deal could be worked out I'd have him with us. He can hold the ball up, play others in and would be a bruising presence up front in a Plan B....... if Russell has one.

Martin now has yet another excuse .... Cyrus is not match fit blah blah blah ... an extra verse to add to his repertoire. Rogers' blarney was at the very least amusing. We knew he was talking shit. He knew he was talking shit. And we all enjoyed the entertainment ... because where it mattered most, on the field, job done and done right. Martin is beginning to make Andy Pandy sound educated and look a lot less like a '60s puppet. Martin hasn't quite descended to BoBo territory yet, but he's really starting to apply himself.

Bony is always a good idea ... if for no other reason that it "takes a village" to stop him, meaning that at least two defenders have to drape themselves all over him to keep him down.

On the other hand .... were we to actually resign Bony, we'd have the ridiculous situation of sending out Whitaker and Cullen who are up to the job given a chance, to acquire a player who is 33 (!?!) built like a shit house with dodgy thighs who could be a lot older depending on whether you're going by his "birth certificate" or counting his rings.

As it is Cyrus is going to take a month to get fit and probably the rest of the year to figure out what Martin wants him to do unless he's just here for cover. Bony would take a few weeks to get fit, that is if he doesn't pull a hammy in the process.

I think we could do a lot worse, Bony never exerted himself on the field, he just hung about outside the box waiting to be fed, but having been fed, as our midfield then played to him, half a sight of goal would unleash one of his unequalled thunderous shots, I think if we hadn't moved him on he would still be fairly prominent in our starting eleven.

I see this young Manc buck has a nickname already and he’s not even “in the building”. Is it only me who finds this offensive?
