Fair play to Steve Cooper. He took Forest from the threat of relegation to promotion hopefuls and had a damned good cup run as well. Forest disposed of two Premier League teams and gave Liverpool a good battle before going out 0-1. Can't help feeling that had Russell pitted his team against Liverpool, they might well have notched 8 against his bunch of wimps. I was loud and vocal in my wish to be rid of Cooper but I have to concede that he's getting a better tune out of his team than Russell is with his. It's been said that he has a better squad than Russell but that didn't seem to be the case when he took charge given Forest's lowly position.
