To get us all in the mood for Christmas (if you need it) I thought it might be fun to have an ongoing quiz for the next two weeks or so. I shall be posting the initials of a traditional Christmas carol (T) or a pop song associated with Xmas (P). When you solve them PM me with your answers under the heading "Festive Quiz". The reason for this is that we don't want the answers in public view until the next set of questions, which will follow within the next few days. I'll keep score and post a league table of entrants as we go along. Some will be easy, some hard but they are all 'gettable'. I'll start with some easy ones. With the pop questions I only need the titles not the artist/band who recorded it. If you get stuck you can involve the family. Post your answers even if you don't get them all because others might be in the same boat. Do join in, it's a bit of fun. Good luck and don't cheat by googling. :)

Come on, posters, do join in, it's just a bit of fun with an element of competition to get us interacting. Involve your wives, family and friends.

These are the easy ones 😀. I used to play all these Christmas carols on my classical guitar and harp :p, and my youngest daughter sings them in a choir.

Come on then, CJ, join in. There's harder ones to come. Send me a PM with your answers. At the moment Blobs is top of the league by default.

@ivoralljack , by the way my daughter has got unconditonal for Bristol, Surrey, Norwich and Newcastle Universities. She decided to study in Newcastle because they have the best creative writing courses.

CJ, well done to your daughter. If she needs any help or ideas I'd be happy to oblige. @jackodiamonds is taking his Masters in something similar.

With regard to the quiz, you and Blobs are joint top. :)
