Mega quake out here today, epicentre about 30 miles away, Have experienced a few out here but this one was frightening.
As I type this there's another slight tremor, so going outside,

Thanks Crojack, I have a rooftop apartment in a five storey building. the movement was unbelievable, furniture just moving about all over the place.
apparently it lasted 28 seconds which seemed like 28 minutes. Your brain starts working overtime, do I try to get down to ground level, fatal I think if it collapses on the way down. in that short time I decided if it collapsed I was safer on top. Amazingly when it was over I went down and no building damage other than the glass cracked in a few windows. There's been a few aftershocks throughout the day giving a very uneasy feeling, the last one about 4-00 pm uk time.
