Derby v Swansea

A suggestion: let's all keep track on Sunday of how many times we think one of our players is in a position to try a shot and he passes or tries to dribble instead. I'm guessing we'll all get to at least double figures.
Mate, if you watch my video (post #95 from the Derby game) then you don't need to wait for the Cardiff game and you don't need to guess. I've spent a couple of hours of my life to make that video because I don't want to guess. And if you watch the video you'll see that only in a couple of situations one of our players didn't shoot when he was in good shooting positions, and that player was Latibeaudiere. But that is not his fault. Lati is a centre-back who played as an attacking wing-back at Derby. He is not a goal scorer, and shooting is not his first instict. If we want more shots and more goals we have to play players up front who can score goals, and Bidwell, Smith and Lati are not these players.

There were two more situations, one with Paterson and another one with Smith, but a pass and cross were better options imho then shots.

I repeat, our players are not afraid of shooting when they are in good shooting positions, and they are not afraid of losing possession. The poor final pass in the opposition third is the main reason we don't create more chances, and if our passing in the final third becomes more accurate (both through balls, long balls, and crosses) then we'll see many more shots from our forwards.

And if we all keep track in the Cardiff game then there's a population of opinions (each of us defining our own view of a foregone shooting opportunity) also providing data not guesses. Let's see.
Okay, I cave. Being generous I could only count three foregone shooting chances so I guess it's true that the service from midfield and the lack of crosses is what explains our lack of scoring (prior to the glorious Cardiff win).
