Well I jinxed it. I have said it's going to take some time before this squad performs at its best. The passing has been faster this year, a bit more direct, some of the one touch back heel stuff we just saw in the box was nice. We have depth in the squad, even with Piroe gone there's talent on the bench. Cooper, Allen, whatever we have in Myk, I still rate Pato. A lot of supporters might not give Duff much time if we keep losing. Probably going to be difficult to make the playoff places but I have hope we can have a quick passing tempo we haven't seen in a long time.
And to cap a great day Cardiff get a last minute penalty to beat Sheffield Wednesday and no one knows why the penalty was conceded when there was no need. 
Because Duff is a lower league idiot and doesn't know better.

I don’t see a shape, rather there is a shape, but it’s totally without any threat going forward and full of holes defensively. We are conceding and losing games with 3+2 and three deep misfield players against teams that have at best a lack luster attacking threat all because we are not aware of what’s going on around us, not closing down quick enough and permitting crosses to be made. And press is a joke, what press.
surely we can have our full backs attacking wide playing 4 at the back, we just need better balance at the back and pivot more efficiently. I don’t see what Yates offers. I don’t see a great touch. I don’t see any speed, I don’t see any ability to get the ball turn and beat defenders. Starting today our most creative midfield player is playing too deep. Grimes should be playing further forward. And somebody else playing in the hole. The whole setup is cockeyed.

Duff had better get his act together because he won't be with us for much longer if this continues. His results are shit and it isn't as if there's been any underlying performances that gives us some light on the horizon because they've been shit too. We can't defend and we can't attack, at least not with any success. No doubt he'll continue his bleating that he needs more time. But to achieve what? For the life of me I can't tell. We have no identity whatsoever. He's reduced us to a below average run-of-the-mill side. At least under Russell we did retain possession and, at our best, we looked pretty damned good at times.
Russell's problem was that his game plan was shattered regularly by defensive howlers which cost us games but at least we could all see what he was trying to do. But Duff? Has anybody got the faintest idea of what his game plan is? Of what identity he's bringing us? Sweet fuck all from what I can see. And we're dropping like a stone in the league in the process. He's not up to this job so far and all he's 'achieved' has been to reduce us to a nothing team. For pity's sake kick his arse out and bring in Cameron Toshack before we get relegated.
