If a team doesn't have midfield creativity to get the ball into the box then Cullen won't be effective. He's a penalty area striker pure and simple. I've said before that he's a smaller guy, so no particular strength on the ground or in the air; he's not got blistering pace; like Dan James he's not a flair/tricky player. So what on earth does he offer then? Having watched him progress from the 'Unders', he possesses that strikers' instinct that so few of them have. Get the ball in the box often and he'll get goals. Get the ball in the box VERY often and he'll be prolific. He just needs a manager who understands this. Cameron Toshack and Gary Richards did and Cullen got his goals.
