It was my birthday on Sunday, so LadyGG invited me to hers for a birthday dinner and it was gorgeous. As ever I was given a plate of biblical proportions piled high with roast beef, roast potatoes, mashed cabbage, swede, sugar snap peas, whole honey roasted carrots and parsnips, dried 'soaky' peas and Yorkshire puddings with 'real' beef gravy.. At the end of the meal she came to the table with a chocolate cake complete with candles whilst they all sung Happy Birthday. It was brilliant.
I was then given a doggy bag to take home with four containers all stuffed with more beef dinner for me to freeze and the cake. I also had six free range eggs from her chickens and two cartons of duty free ciggies that she bought for me when she was abroad last week. So all in all I had a super day all thanks to LadyGG and her lovely family. Great memories and many thanks to them all.
