Can we roll over the Hoops at QPR?

Didn't feel like we deserved the 3 points, I've seen just about enough from Duff. I realize it's a challenge for any manager to come into a side with so many new players. I can't make any sense of what he's trying to achieve tactically though. We have got to get someone better in.

Cooper was getting pushed around, he got fouled but didn't get a whistle. 2 late sliding challenges, I give him credit for trying to break up the attack. He didn't look good, it was looking like QPR could score a second. Their headed was very good.

A performance like the curate's egg - good in parts but not good enough against a poor team down near the bottom with us. It was a chance to close the gap and move up a place or two but we blew it. This is Duff's stamp. All of it - and he has to go irrespective of the result against Owls. Leave it any longer and it will only get more difficult to drag ourselves to safety.

By the way, is big Myk any good in the air? From what I've seen he's crap for a big man. I seem to remember Brian Flynn jumping higher than him.

There was a glimmer of shape early on when we scored. But it deteriorated. LCL forward line is the way to go. We have to persevere with that and a back 4.

It seems that the new signings have not improved us at all. Compared to what we have now, it's frightening to think that even Latibeaudiere looks like a Messi.

Our worst league start in 32 years, so well done, Mr Duff, I hope we shall soon see the back of you. If our suits have got a grain of sense between them that will be before we lose more points to Sheffield in our next game. As for compensation, considering the damage you've wreaked on our team, you should be paying us when you're sacked. Some stats:

POSSESSION: 49-51 SHOTS: 11-8 OT: 3-3 CORNERS: 4-6 FOULS: 12-17 GOALS: 1-1

I see that we won the foul count hands down. Might be indicative of the pressure we were under in the second half. I wonder what happened to the much publicised fitness levels we were supposed to achieve under Duff? Would have come in handy given that our footballing ability has been totally fcuked.

Duff saying today that the fact we're in this position is entirely down to the players. He maintains that they train for a particular way of playing then they ignore everything and do their own thing on matchday. Not a good idea to publicly blame the players even if there's an element of truth in the allegation. Resentment will quickly surface and the dressing room will be gone - if it hasn't gone already.

Also, it hardly makes him look competent to admit his players don't listen to him. Management's about leadership first and foremost, starting with protecting the players and accepting full accountability for all the problems publicly, then ironing out their attitudes behind closed doors if need be. His statement just casts him adrift, makes him seem an isolated figure rather than the figurehead. I read somewhere he says he has three games to prove himself. That would mean the board had given him the first 10 games to show signs of life. Seven played so far, so three games left. It's asking a lot over that time span for him to earn the respect of the players and turn that respect into results.

They may be training for a particular way, but clearly it's not being taken on board. All the new players have no choice but to take his shit on board. I don't see Yates busting a gut up front to press.

Seems to me Duffer is committing the age old coaching sin of refusing to recognize the attributes and strengths of the squad and leveraging them in terms of style of play and team selection; but, instead trying to make a donkey do what a thoroughbred can and vice versa. If you setup and play to the squad's natural attributes the players execute the "system" by rote.

Last night was the second game in a row I didn't see KOL on the bench. Anybody else notice his absence or did I miss him.
