Amazing what confidence can do for a team! That's seven games unbeaten, 19 out of 21 points and, not surprisingly, top of the form table. What a contrast to our abysmal Jan/Feb period.

Shame about our poor run as we sit just 3 points of 6th place. Probably too late unless there's some freak results. A combination of too many individual mistakes and management errors in team selection and tactics etc etc cost us a tilt at the Premier League. As I've said before though, I'd be fearful of going up with this team because it just wouldn't cut it at the top level. And there'd be sod all chance of the owners giving us decent funds to achieve anything. Congratulations though to Russell Martin and the lads for this very good run. I know I've been critical but credit where it's due.

To add to the above stats we out-passed them 943-260 and in touches in the box 22-14. However, given our huge amount of passes and possession, only 22 box visits indicate that perhaps we should be making far better use of our control. In view of the result this might be seen as being picky but we only had 8 more touches in the box than they did with them barely seeing any of the ball. We need to be much more efficient in the final third.

Bottom line here is with numerical superiority and passing superiority we should have adopted a far more aggressive cross / pass / drive the ball into the box and hunt the second ball on the periphery. At worst there should have been corner after corner, or free-kick after free-kick as Norwich withered under the pressure.

If the teams above us draw their remaining fixtures and we win the final 2 we are in the playoffs. It is possible. It would need about 12 results to go right. Its a shame to think 1 mistake made all the difference for Swansea. This squad can get results but it won't be the same team next season.

Spot on.
It can be even better if we do it right in the next transfer window, though I will be sad if we lose Piroe. He has improved so much lately.
I read today that if Piroe is sold we would be interested in 20 year old Everton loanee, Tom Cannon, who scored for Preston against us recently.
