We have a fully fit squad but I don't see any changes from our last few games , the players have had plenty of recovery time since their last game and have no excuse for a lame performance.
A tricky tie but barring any sloppiness I can see us coming home with 3 points from this one . 1-2 to us I hope .

Will Martin tinker? That's the question or play the same starting line-up and give Allen more support in midfield so he doesn't have to run around busting his balls for 60 allowing him to last the whole game.

The headline from an article posted on the Club's web site reads: "Russell Martin encouraged by Piroe's goalscoring form." In the 10 games since his return from suspension, he has scored 5 goals with the last one being a gifted tap in. No assists. Some might say that's good form - Martin for one is encouraged. Not to my eye.

Cullen in comparison: since his return to the bench/starting has appeared in 5 matches, started 4, scored 3, assists 2. Now this is the form I expect from a goal scorer! As the appearance from the bench was just 8 minutes ... the numbers are even more impressive. His only shutout was against Burnley and everybody was lame in the final third against Bristol in the cup.

I'm starting a collection to pay for Obafemi's bus fare to Burnley. Anybody want to contribute.

Such slow, ponderous passing from us contrasts with the crisp, speedy moves upfield from them. Sort of sums up our possession problem. Sunderland's style of possession football is something for us to aspire to.
