Well the much maligned Tories gave Labour an almighty hammering achieving a swing of about 16% in Hartlepool, the first time that they've ever won that seat. I know that Boris isn't everyone's cup of tea and he's certainly made his mistakes (what politician doesn't?). But he and his party must be doing something right to get a result like that. Mind you, Labour under Sir Keir Hypocrite hardly offer a credible opposition. And I have to say that any party that tolerates the likes of Diane Abbott within its ranks deserves the fcuk all it gets at the polls.

Boris Johnston repeatedly lies, cheated on his wife and misused tax payers money, allowed his mate Dominic to break Covid rules and said he'd rather see bodies pile up than have another lock down yet still people vote for his party ?

They’re a strange lot these English.
Whereas we have a straitlaced academic who probably goes to Chapel on Sundays and we vote for him to control half the seats in the Senedd.

ALL politicians lie; many cheat on their wives; ALL misuse tax-payers money and they ALL look after their mates in one way or another. Unfortunately that's how they are and what they do. Lloyd George is revered in Wales yet he was a serial womaniser and as corrupt as God ever made a politician - he introduced the practice of selling titles and gongs to those who could afford it to raise money for his party. I tolerate that though because he was the one who backed our troops in World War 1 and he positively hated General Haig, a man who, in my opinion, was guilty of the mass murder of the troops under his command.

It's a sad fact of life that politicians in a general sense are a despicable breed and we are stuck with them whilst trying to make the best of a bad lot.
