Quite frankly Page makes Steve Cooper look like the Einstein of football! Despite having a lot of talented players, Page failed to motivate them and allowed them to stroll through the game as though it were a Sunday league kickabout. How the fcuk do these people ever earn a good wage out of football? We were dire today and scraped an entirely undeserved draw. Play like that again and Turkey will cruise past us whilst Italy will positively hammer us. As for our so-called stars ie. Messrs, Bale, Ramsey and Allen etc., it would be good if they remembered firstly, how to keep the ball and, secondly, learn how to pass it to a team mate. - because today they looked like they didn't have a fcuking clue.

I suppose we're entitled to one bad game (that wasn't just bad, it was RANK) and I hope to see some football and some urgency from us next time out.

I am disappointed with Wales performance, tactics and line-up. Page got it wrong imho.

1. If you want to play defensive and counter-attacking football then play three at the back. I am sure Switzerland wouldn't have scored from header had Cabango played together with Rodon and Mepham.

2. Wales played 4-1-4-1, with James playing too wide. Bale also played more wide then in the middle closer to the Swiss box. Morrell and Ramsey are not goal scorers, so why push Bale and James who ARE goal scorers too wide? If the tactics was to feed Moore with crosses, and not use James and Bale to exploit their speed and run behind the Swiss defence, then that's a wrong tactics. Wing-backs should've provided crosses. Bale and James shoul've attacked the Swiss box and shoot.

3. 4-1-4-1 is a formation Bielsa uses often and this formation requires a lot of running, high pressing and possession. With other words, you have to dominate opposition. Wales let Switzerland have all possession and practically played 4-5-1 forcing Bale and James to try doing something from deep positions. High pressing was almost non-existent. Ramsey had more possession than any other Welsh player and didn't do much with it. Pity, he is a really good player, but he is not a good finisher. Finishing is his weakness.

4. Wales is blessed with some young and technically gifted players who are dangerous in the final third. Here I mean Harry Wilson and David Brooks. Play them. In modern football it's more important to have pace and creativity then to have a targetman up front. I like Kiefer Moore a lot, but I would radically change Wales style of play. It can be done with the players you have, and I feel you are wasting them by not using their qualities. And it doesn't matter if you play defensive, counter-attacking football or a more adventurous, attacking football.

Last season Harry Wilson scored 7 goals and had 11 assists for Cardiff. David Brooks scored 5 goals and had 7 assists for Bournemouth. Connor Roberts scored 5 and had 7 assists for Swansea. That's 17 goals and 25 assists. Two of these three players didn't play from start, and the third one didn't play as wing-back where he is most dangerous.

Let's see who played. Joe Morrel, 0 goals and 1 assist for Luton. Joe Allen, 0 goals and 2 assists for Stoke. Aaron Ramsey, 2 goals and 4 assists for Juventus. All together 2 goals and 7 assists.

These numbers tell you everything you want to know about your manager. I mean, it's so obvious.

He's WORSE than Cooper! Page has some real talent at his disposal compared to Cooper and showed he didn't have a clue how to use it. Subbing Dan James? Really??!! He was easily our best and most dangerous outfield player. Bale sooner should have gone off tbh.

Connor had a 'mare and perhaps his energetic season has caught up with him, so Neco Williams must start next. Great pass from Morrell for our goal but little else, so enter Brooks and or Wilson. Ampadu has the quality to fit in and Cabango for Mepham, who was lucky not to concede a penalty, is a no-brainer. Page is a lower league coach and I'm afraid it was very evident. No doubt the Liberty will be looking at him if Cooper leaves! 😨😧

On set pieces Roberts was often assigned to deal with Embolo, a player considerably taller leaving Roberts with little hope of beating that player in the air. A nonsensical defensive setup if ever I’ve seen one, hence the Swiss goal.

This has somehow passed me by - can someone please explain how come England get to play at Wembley; Scotland get to play at Hampden Park but we have to play in sodding Baku and then against Italy in Rome? Why haven't we got any fixtures in Wales giving us a home game? 🤷‍♂️

Quite a simple explanation Ivor, we are Welsh, this looked pretty obvious in the English League, and now Europe .

We didn’t bid to be a host country. If we had bid we would’ve probably been rejected. Just imagine, if Scotland hadnae qualified we might have been playing in Glasgow!

They should perform much better than the last one. James is going to get MOTM, no Tosun. Should be a 3-0 win.

Robbie Savage posted on the BBC Live thread ...
The big players need to step up tonight, the goal was Luton Town to Cardiff City. It is important that Juve, Manchester United and Real Madrid perform tonight.
Pintado's buddy is right about this.
