Been very ill lately which is why my posting has become sporadic. Last week I was on the floor in my bedroom trapped in a narrow space between the window and the bed. I called 111 then 999 both of whom were utterly useless - I was told that it would take a MINIMUM of 22 hours before I could expect an ambulance and help! I managed to contact my niece Kay who came over with her husband Danny. She climbed in through the window then let Danny in by the front door. I had been on the floor, in the dark, for a total of about six hours with my legs trapped beneath me bearing my full body weight. I literally screamed continuously with pain as they hefted me on to the bed but what blessed relief when the blood started to flow properly again. Absolute nightmare.

I'm very slowly making a recovery but I have no help whatsoever. Can't even change my clothes, take a shower, do any housework at all and can't cook, so mainly I'm living off cold snacks and toast/soup. It's horrendous that this sort of thing can happen in this day and age and there are many poor vulnerable folk who have it worse than me. How many have been murdered, and I use that word deliberately, by our totally inefficient and uncaring NHS, which most of us have paid for all our lives. Huge money is being spent on paying sky high wages to inclusivity and diversity officers (in other words woke non-jobs) instead of directing funds to where they are so badly needed. Rant over. I'm too tired and in too much pain to carry on but I curse the Welsh Labour party as much as I do the NHS.

By the way, if I was an illegal immigrant I would be getting immediate medical attention and help and that's a FACT!!

Get well soon, Ivor. Here in Denmark, we have a system called home care that's been working well. It provides a range of support services, including shopping, cleaning, meal preparation, medication management, and more, up to three times a day if needed. And the city council HAS to provide these services.

When I call 112, the ambulance is usually here within 10 minutes. Ten minutes, give or take. Last February, we had snow in Copenhagen and I fell in the street and hit the back of my head on the concrete. Ten days later, I had a stroke. It was 4 a.m. on a weekend and I was sitting at my computer writing something. I called an ambulance and they arrived in about five minutes. It took them another five minutes to get to the hospital, where I was given blood thinners straight away. Then it took them another five minutes to scan my head in a CT scanner.

There's a decline in service and craftsmanship n every sector. I think about how many WWII pilots became commercial flyers after the war. Many doctors quite literally learned their trade on the battlefields. Now flying is nearly automated and pilots don't need skill until something goes badly wrong. You can see the decline in politicians as well, we've come a long way from Margret Thatcher lol.

But think about the positives Cullen has a brace and Cabango is playing well. Joe Allen is in the game and Montenegro has a 2 goal lead on Turkey. Planets lined up today at least.
