2nd friendly at fairwood played today against Colchester

2 60 minute games played , we lost the first game 0-2 , but it was mainly second string team.

We won the second game 1-0 courtesy of a late far post header from Latibeaudiere.

Liam Walsh ruptured his hamstring against Haverfordwest and requires surgery , he will be out for some months , so he is one we will not be getting off the books just yet .

Flynn Downes not on the pitch for either game so I presume he is off having a medical prior to a transfer . Let's hope we get a good fee for him .

It's 9 million up front payment with 3 mill in add ons . He has a medical set for tomorrow with the hammers.
A percentage of 5he fee will go to his former club , but I wonder how much of the fee the wanks will filter down for Martin to use .

Free agents are not free when it comes to money. It's true you don't pay a transfer fee to another club but you have to pay a sign-on-fee to the player and agent-fee to his agent as well. Of course, all of this is cheaper, but I still expect Allen will want £1m - £2m in sign-on-fee.

Downes may become a good Prem player; then again he may not. Allen would be an excellent upgrade at this point in time.

Very pleased that Joe might be back but I understand Wilshire is two years younger and, imo, a better player. That said, he might not be fit and be more expensive to bring in.

Are we considering Allen .... it's hopeful from my point of view as I haven't done heard anything concrete. Wilshire is too injury prone.
