I don't know what happens to the trees that come down in storms or are cut down by the council.
Out here they are cut into about 10 inch sections and stored in a big yard. OAP's are given a card and can collect as much firewood as they want, at any time..
Also Top Marks to the bin men, they have opened a free library to anyone, stocked by books discarded on their collection rounds. this was solely a charitable thing, but i think the local council has given them a little funding on this now.
