Comfortable first half and ahead courtesy of a superb Fulton strike in a bit of a low key game. Rovers have rarely threatened but neither have we. To be honest we seem to be pedestrian in transition and the absence of Dan James' pace is becoming more evident by the minute. No one is getting to the bye line consistently even though the gaps have been there. I understand that this is just a warm up friendly but a little more urgency wouldn't come amiss.

Awful finishing tonight against a poor opposition. No tempo, slow passing, sloppy in the final third, some dangerous loss of possession in our half...

But 30° C on the pitch is a good excuse.

Mcshite and John brought some pace to the left and Borja looked good for the ten minutes he had , including a well taken goal with Asoro adding a third in the last minute.

3-0 win without breaking too much sweat in the heat. Good to see Borja on target after great work from Oli and even better to see how pleased his team mates were for him as they congratulated him. Good stuff! On the other hand, Connor Roberts gave Asoro a right mouthful for not covering his man in the box and allowing a shot at our goal. As long as the young man learns from it....... and also pleasing to see him get a goal.
