We come into the final third and them pass the ball backwards. We have to try to dribble in the tight spaces or play one-twos. Paterson and Bidwell should start puting some crosses into the Sheepfield United box. Also, Paterson plays too much on the left, he should be playing more centrally. Bring Piroe and Dhanda in.

Nice football but our usual powder-puff stuff in front of goal. We persist in trying to walk the ball into the net and United have had by far the more dangerous attacks from far less possession. As @Yankee_Jack says, Paterson, and others, MUST get the ball into the area more often because Cullen and Lowe haven't even had scraps to feast off. We've been so poor they'd be delighted with scraps to be honest and Ramsdale has had bugger all to do.

The object of the game is to SCORE GOALS and possession/passing football is but an end to doing that. However, there's been sod all end product to our pretty football so far - not even a decent shot!! I'm not carping because I think we've been doing well, particularly as it's still such early days under Martin. We will get better as the season progresses and the football we are playing now is light years better than what we saw under Cooper. BUT we need a cutting edge. We have two in Lowe and Cullen but our 'creators' have to provide them with some ammunition to fire.

Considering the amount of football we played in their final third, their keeper has had an extremely easy time of things, We are getting inti their f/third with ease ,but then running out of ideas, the amount of wide play we've had not once have we got down to the by line and got in behind them with crosses.
