Swans v. Preston

Abysmal doesn't begin to describe this manager and his team is equally bad. What a farce that goal was and a fitting end to a game that we didn't deserve to win. Preston far better and more dangerous than us. In my book Cooper and his assistant coaches must be amongst the worst in the lower divisions.

COOPER OUT NOW
If we don't get rid of this moron immediately we'll likely miss out on the playoffs. But the gutless, mindless people who 'run' our club won't do that. The thought of the compensation involved would have them shitting their pants.

A totally deserved loss. Swansea disjointed, sloppy in possession, passing accuracy 74%, no shots on target, and still don't know how to beat high press. We don't deserve to be in the play-off places and are becoming a laughing stock.

And, please, don't any of those football ignorant twats at the Liberty try telling me that Wilf Bony wouldn't improve this team. The way they're playing I think Long John Silver could improve it....... and his fcuking parrot could be manager. It would do a better job than Cooper.

Cooper gone. Tate in charge. Let’s not waist anymore time.
NO, not Tate!!!! And he hasn't got a clue about playing passing football either. He proved his calibre with his involvement in the dismissal of Laudrup, who rightly didn't rate him or Monk as good enough for his team. They weren't and got their revenge by getting Laudrup sacked, which is why we are where we are today. I wouldn't have Tate if he offered to pay us to manage.

I hear you but .. WHO ELSE DO WE HAVE. Curt has been put out to pasture. Leon is not active either. The only other alternative would be young Toshack

Coopers handshake wouldn't be a lot if his contract is up at the end of the season. If it wasn't for Covid a bucket collection at the next home game would probably sort it.

I commented early in thread that if we fail, we should fail upwards. By the looks of today, it's going to be downwards and we are definitely at risk of crashing out of the play-off qualification zone.

That Sinclair, a hero from 10 years ago, was the guy that put the nail into today's coffin is sick justice. If I remember correctly, Sinclair left and Routs arrived.

Where we go from here, barring the obvious of replacing an entire coaching staff, is tough to say. The team is disjoint, team selection is disjoint, we play like a relegation threatened team - pretty in patches, but never enough to cause serious trouble to average teams. We've abandoned the 3+2 that brought us this far. That's a panic indicator right there. If the boss doesn't believe in it, then why should the players. In doing so not only have we lost our defensive fortress, but we've lost our one attacking critical edge ... the best wing backs in the league. Imagine showing up to a gun fight and putting blanks into the gun .... the opposition are wet with laughter. We've effectively handcuffed out assist leaders and told them to stay home. You couldn't make it up. Doesn't anybody around Andy Pandy look at any data.

Today, we were a pale shadow of the team that Sinclair powered to promotion ten years ago

We were a pathetic shadow of a football team and our current form would place us as relegation fodder rather than promotion hopefuls. Cooper has lost the plot, if he ever had it to begin with, and, if we don't reverse things immediately, I doubt we'll even make the top six.

Cooper has been found out by more experienced managers and every team that now plays us, fancies their chances. Preston should have been put to the sword but it was they who called the shots and won a game they should never have had a chance to. Cooper's failings are too numerous to mention again but we all know what they are. The main problem is that he is very limited and the players have realised it and play as though they have no confidence in him or his ideas. His appointment was a bad idea. The club must now know this but they, and we, are stuck with him. Some stats:

POSSESSION: 54-46 SHOTS: 9-14 OT: 0-3 CORNERS: 1-6 FOULS: 9-16 GOALS 0-1

NO SHOTS ON TARGET!! What a damning indictment of Cooper's methods and the complete lack of firepower. It also indicates a complete lack of creativity in terms of decent chances. Cooper is a busted flush and the sooner he is moved on the better. Impressive interview presentations do NOT necessarily make anyone a good manager and we fell for it big time. He dined out on Potter's methods to begin with but, once left to his own devices, totally failed to improve things because he is NOT a good enough or experienced enough manager.

FOUR CONSECUTIVE DEFEATS AND NOT A GOAL SCORED. Better mangers have been sacked for for less.

No plan B. Once teams wised up to our wingback approach we've been fucking useless. And what has Cooper done?

FUCK ALL.

Watched highlights on sky , they didn't show a single Swansea attack !
If that's not enough to show the Yanks how poor Cooper is I don't know what will wake them up.
We had a real chance for promotion this season , Cooper has blown it.
If we make the play offs we won't get past the first stage.
Coopers stubborn lack of substitutions when needed as well as his lack of tactical awareness has doomed us.
He said that today we were going for it but he hamstrung us by playing a flat back 4 which limited our wing backs ( our most successful method of attack ) to defense and severely restricted their potential .
Lowe lost possession nearly every time he had the ball , Hourihane and Ayew were not involved at all . Changes were needed at halftime , but nothing was changed until 80 minutes were on the clock.
Too little , far too late but all too common a mistake from a manager who is sorely out of his depth.

Cooper has stated " Swansea won't hide away from criticism" We're not criticising Swansea you muppet, we're criticising you. One thing I'll give you credit for is your ability to avoid any personal criticism in your post match interviews.
The very same spiel you spouted to get your foot in the door of professional football, credit to you once again for hoodwinking Birch , Britton,& Curtis, who I think have realised the error of their ways and have distanced themselves from the club to some extent.
Do the honorable thing and walk. Surely your time with us has given you a stable bank balance, which is having the reverse affect on the club.
Go to the lowest league and learn your apprenticeship properly, instead of believing you were good enough to start at the top. I played schoolboy football at a reasonably high level, this and the professional game are worlds apart.. Your out of your depth, PLEASE GO.
