My team: Hamer Roberts (Nauts) Cabango Guehi Manning

Grimes Smith Fulton

Hourihane (Dhanda)

Ayew Whitts

We're not playing well enough to say we should win but Preston are no great shakes right now. We need to keep getting points though to cement the playoffs. Auto is all but gone. Wish Cooper was as well.

A change of formation is needed. Let's play 4-3-3 with Lowe-Whittaker-Ayew up front.
Let’s just try playing football .... pass, move, pass, move. Cross every now and again. Somebody actually drive onto the cross. Woody catch the ball instead of flapping at it. Bench Bennet play Cabango.

Simple stuff

Agree I want to see Whittaker. I'm hoping this has been a bad streak. They're going to sort it out and start to score. Have to figure out how to score. 3 losses and 3matches without a goal.

Failing upward ... if we’re going to fail this season then that’s how it must be done,

by this I mean, we trust in and play our future not somebody else’s past or future. Play Cabango not Bennet; Whittaker/Cullen not Lowe/Routs. Cooper not Smith. ANOther not Woody.

If this lot turn us over ,then surely the question of a change of manager must certainly be on the cards, surely the penny pinching yanks can see what Cooper stands to lose them financially with his senseless incompetence.

Surely we can beat them, as they haven’t got a manager to work out winning tactics.
My big concern is that Scotty will be desperate to do a rocking baby goal celebration. He’s just had number 3. Hmm, I wonder what odds I could get for a Sinclair hat trick?

Agree with your choice of Cabango, Whittaker and Hamer, but we should neither drop Lowe nor Smith.

Lowe-Whittaker-Ayew up front, and Grimes-Fulton-Smith in the midfield is my preferred combo.

Watford are 1 goal up away at Middlesbrough. If they win today they will be promoted automatically. Not even Brentford will be able to catch them.

WTF .... Andy Pandy is panicking ... he now thinks he's Pep G, coaching Barca and going with 4-3-3. Delusions of grandeur me thinks.

Why didn't he drop Woody while he's at it.

Oh well, let the circus begin. Guaranteed, Preston never discussed this in their pre-game planning.

Lowe is not known for his defensive prowess and will be doing much down whichever flank he's patrolling. Similarly, Hourihane is a defensive light weight. We better score a ton of goals.

No need to defend if we attack 😂
Our fundamental problem all season has been a propensity to give the ball away cheaply. This is why we need to defend and defend well and be capable of winning the ball back sooner and more frequently than ever before. It is embarrassing that other teams move and retain the ball better than we do.

10 years ago we would have held on to the ball for 5, 10, 15, 20 minutes (in extreme cases) at a time. Against Fulham at the Cottage in the Prem, we had multiple 30+ pass sequences, Fulham were chasing shadows. The Swanselona moniker was well earned.

Now, we pass inconsistently, we cannot retain the ball to alleviate pressure, make the other team bust a gut chasing, control tempo. We have zero patience. Today, Andy Pandy has walked away from our lock tight defensive posture. He's gambling. He's panicking. He's got no faith in "his approach" that he fell into at the final stretch of last season ... did he truly understand what he had, what he had accomplished, was it a philosophy or a blob of mud thrown against the chalk board that stuck. He's trying to play all his best players instead of his best team.
