Swans v. Middlesbrough

Boro deserved it because all we've served up today is a pile of steaming shit that Cooper laughingly believes is football. He is so tactically inept it amazes me that he is held in such high regard. I'd be delighted if some other team would take him....... tomorrow. As I write Napoleon's luck rescued him again and we stole 3 points when we didn't deserve one.

We won the game and are still high in the table so no knee-jerk bitterness from me when I say Cooper OUT. I say so because in my opinion he is a crap manager and there must be at least a dozen other managers out there who'd do better with the resources he's got. I'll say it again in case I didn't make it clear, our football is TOTAL SHIT!!

Warnock was incensed and rightly so. Imagine what it'd be like on here if those decisions were reversed. Mind you, having see Boro's penalty shout again several times in slow mo, I reckon that Fulton's thigh is contacted a fraction before contact with the ball thereby causing him to tumble. Whatever, on recent displays, play-offs is best we can hope for.

Some stats:

POSSESSION: 48-52 SHOTS: 5-8 OT: 4-3 CORNERS: 1-7 FOULS: 14-16 GOALS: 2-1

Had the feeling that the possession stats were far more in Boro's favour than shown but their possession was in more dangerous areas as the corner count reveals. Those three points could only be described as daylight robbery and sooner or later our luck is going to run out. Make no mistake, huge portions of luck are responsible for our present position because sure as hell it's not the (non)football we've been playing.

I've always tried to measure a coach by what he achieved with the resources on hand. This is why I have always rated Sousa very, very highly and thought the job he did for us was massive.

Now ... we can't argue against where we are in the league. The tea might taste like piss, but it's tea nonetheless. The question is ... is Andy Pandy achieving well with the resources he has on hand, or under achieving by the quality we're putting out and we really should be where Norwich is or beyond.

I'm not sure I have a handle on that.

The referee made all the right calls. The foul on Fulton was so bad that the Middlesbrough player deserved to be sent off. And another Middlesbrough player deserved to be sent off when he poked Fulton in the eye. It was also a clear penalty on Bidwell. We played great football, and Cooper outwitted Warnock.

Cheers, my name is Wyndham

He is under achieving imho. We should be playing like we did against Bristol week in week out. Passing football. He lost that game and immediately went back to hoofing football.

Exactly CJ. The inconsistency in games is hard to believe, difficult to believe if they're the same players let alone the same team, this hoofing out of defence generally comes straight back, time was when we played out from the back with 3/4 decent passes and we were in their half and still in possession.
No reaction when we win a game convincingly from Cooper, but the last two games with extra time pens,( which were slightly controversial to say the least). He's seen laughing his head off. Says it all for me, we were lucky ,but not the way I expect him to respond, never once have i ever seen him applaud his players off the park after an exceptionally proven display and win.

Cooper speaks “passionately” about the team and work ethic in the post match.
He should better be talking about our disjointed midfield and why we insisted on attacking down the wings, when there was a lot of space in the midfield. He should be talking about our players running back, and not forward to recieve the passes. He should be talking about too much distance between our back three and our midfield. He should be talking about our passing accuracy and unnecessary hoofing. He should be talking about his inability to change and correct things in the beginning of the second half. He did nothing. Nada.
