Let's hope that its appearance in Croatia is an accident - human or mechanical error or suchlike.

Because only Ukraine and Russia military uses them.

Now I read Russia officials say they haven't used TU-141 since 1991.
What does Janes say.

With all the flak flying around one of these things, it would not be surprising if it took a concussion that disabled its telemetry and it kept going on its last true course buffeted from time time by weather etc wherever it came from until it ran out of fuel

Yeah, though they can carry a 2200 pounds bomb.
Which would make it a full V1, perhaps with guidance and telemetry. I’m thinking the Russians are clearing out old inventory and they just pointed it the wrong way.

If I was Ukraine and I had one of these and could load it with explosive, with a 900 mil range, it would be unleashed on Moscow.

I'm fed up to the teeth with those lying Russian cnuts and their pathetic, stupid attempts to deny their barbaric actions. They are now claiming in the UN conference that Ukrainians are killing their own in an effort to blame Russia. Horseshit!! We all KNOW who is responsible for these disgusting atrocities; Putin and his bunch of uncivilised barbarians every one of whom should be brought to account for the war criminals they are.

Do they not realise that they disgust the civilised world? Their lies are laughable. In today's high tec world it is almost impossible to conceal the hideous atrocities they are committing. And, whilst there are a number of the Russian civilian population who deplore their country's illegal occupation of Ukraine, there seems to be plenty in favour of it. But they will NEVER admit it. Just as after World War 2 almost every French civilian claimed they were members of the Maquis or the Resistance when in fact great numbers were collabarators of the Nazis. And, of course, not one German civilian was prepared to admit they knew of the horrific death camps when many of them most certainly did.

Russia should not be in Ukraine. Their seizure of the Crimea in 2014 was bad enough but the West failed to stand up to them then and the Ukraine is paying the price now. Bullies have to be faced up to then slapped down and Putin, his cohorts and Russia must in turn pay their price. With luck this will not be forgotten for several generations. Russia must be isolated and treated as a pariah country not fit or to be trusted to take its place in a humane civilised world.

Exactly. Now, when the war is going on, there are high resolution satellite images of every inch of the Ukrainian soil, especially the parts under the Russia occupation.

Scenes from the Kyiv filmed yesterday by the Iraqi TV. Nice to see there are parts of Ukraine not involved in the war.

Hard to believe that this is a very recent video. The capitol city Kyiv with not a damaged building in sight after days and nights of incessant missile bombardment. no sign of military of either side. also hard to believe residents would act that calm in the present situation. Possibly a Russian propaganda attempt as Iraq would do anything to stay in Russia's good books after their recent encounter with the USA.
Looks far more like a Eukraine tourist promotional information video of old.

Mate, the video above is genuine. Here is another one filmed by an Ukrainian girl three days ago:

Luckily, Kyiv is not involved in the war anymore, but the surrounding areas are still targets for the Russian cruise missiles.

French president, German chancelor, Italian prime minister and Romanian president have just arrived with train today in Kyiv to visit Zelenskiy. They stay at a hotel and are going to stay there for a couple of days. I am pretty sure they wouldn't be there if it was dangerous.

Mikhail Gorbachev has passed away at the age of 91 and it is a sad loss to the world. MG played a huge part in ending the Cold War with his free-speech policy of 'glasnost' that not only allowed for freedom of speech but also criticism of the only political party and inspired nationalists in Soviet republics to push for independence.

I know little about Russian politics but I always had the sense that Gorby was a decent man who always did his best to strive for world peace - unlike this insane butcher, Putin, who is the polar opposite.

RIP, Gorby. Thank you for your brilliant efforts to make the world a better more peaceful place. Wish there were more like you in Russia.

Sad to read that, in his later days, Putin saw to it that Gorby became a pariah in his own country. What those idiot Russians don't realise is that Gorby was a visionary intent only on fostering good relations between his country and the West. Unfortunately, so many of them are ill-educated peasants and unable to differentiate between a good man of peace in Gorby and the uncivilised, barbaric thug that is Putin. Unfortunately, as we all know, intelligent peace-loving Russians (and there are many) are too afraid to speak out. Those that do disappear.

Looks like Putin is working through his list of delinquent oligarchs, hitting those that haven't been toeing the line.

Yes, A great statesman, and what geater contribution could anyone give in those times in bringing East and West together by sanctioning the removal of the Berlin Wall.

Yes, he is. I'm reading that he's getting rid of his opposition at a rate of knots. Some of these 'suicides' and 'accidents' are plain laughable. Are the Russian people so stupid, so gullible that they actually believe the garbage they are being fed? They are no better than the German people during the Second World War who turned a blind eye to the Nazi atrocities. And they will deserve what they get when the day of reckoning arrives, which it will.

The good, civilised folk who are calling out Putin for his atrocities, are being systematically murdered. The rest of the world, that is the civilsed world, is not as blindly stupid as the Russian populace and, when the dust has settled, Russia and its people will forever be a pariah state. Good enough for them.
