As you can see Blackpool have some good dribblers
but we beat them at all other important attacking stats.
Swansea - purple/pink
Blackpool - light blue

I'm not kidding, so far Swansea have created more xGoals than any other Championship team
Who says we play  football? I agree, we were poor against Blackburn but NOT against Rotherham
and Blackpool. If you don't believe me go to YouTube and find some extended highlights from
other Championship matches. @ivoralljack You were right, Cardiff played really good football against
Birmingham and should've scored 3 goals.

The table below shows which Championship teams overperform and underperform
when it comes to scoring real goals. Our strikers are the biggest underachievers in
the Championship. The others are Bristol, WBA, Cardiff, Norwich, Birmingham, Burnley,
Wigan, Preston, Blackpool and Luton.
Blackburn have scored 6 goals from 2.85 xGoals, which is not sustainable in the long run.
QPR and Coventry have scored more than they deserve. The rest is there where they should be.

As you all know we should've won at Rotherham and we deservedly won at Blackpool. That's why we are
in the top six in the xPoints table. WBA and Burnley should be at the top and not Blackburn. Wigan and Reading
should be rock bottom.

This is the real points table. We are only one point off the play-off places.
WBA, Middlesbrough and Norwich don't deserve to be there where they are.

This table shows which of the Championship teams have the best defences
Unfortunately, we are not among them.
Burnley, Cardiff, Blackburn and Stoke have the best defences so far.

Norwich, QPR, Luton, WBA and Sunderland shoot most but
we are not bad at all.
Rotharham, Reading and Watford (this one is a surprise) are shot-shy teams.
More than 30% of Swansea shots have been quality shots.

So far Swansea have allowed only 24 against, which is good.
The trouble is the average xG for these shots is 0.25.

This one is good. We avearge 5 shots on target per game and are just behind Sunderland, Norwich and
WBA when it comes to shots on target.

This one is not a good read for us. We simply allow too many shots on target against.
We have conceded 16 shots on target out of 24 conceded shots in total. Simply too much.

Thanks CJ
Was it last season the Blackburn overachieved at the start in a similar way?
Watched them getting trashed by Reading yesterday evening. This time they didn't score from a couple of half chances they created. I've read that Everton want to sign Ben Brereton Diaz and if this happens Blackburn will soon be in the bottom half of the league table.

Haven't been following Gibbs-White's progress, but that seems like a hefty price tag for a guy with one decent Championship season under his belt

I would agree ... but it's a P-to-P transfer and he's on a Prem contract with suitable buyout clauses etc. Wolves are savvy at this game by now

BBC originally reported the 42+ number then revised to the lower number plus add-ons

£25m + add-ons + bonuses up to £42.5m is a madness for clubs like Nottingham Forest.

Forest have already spent £126m, and that's without add-ons, bonuses and agent fees. All together it must be £160+m in total. When we know that Man City for winning the title in 2021/22 season got £161m in prize money then what the hell is Forest doing? And I didn't mention their wage bill. If they finish between 12th and 20th place they'll get something between £110 and £140m in prize money and their other expenses, transfer fees, agent fees and wages will be around £250m.

Last season Nottingham Forest’s wage bill consumed over 200% of their total revenues, the worst in the league. In their 2020-21 financials, Forest revealed that their wages totalled £ 37.2 million while their income amounted to £ 18.4 million. That was obviously influenced by the impact of the pandemic, but still...

Forest’s ownership has already written off some £ 73 million in loans, otherwise the club’s net debt would be higher than the current level of £ 36.2 million. They have also converted £ 52 million of debt to equity to ease the situation, including £ 12 million in the last financial year.

Forest’s pre-tax loss for 2020-21 was £ 15.5 million, slightly less than the £ 15.9 million lost in 2019-20. They have only made a profit once since 2005 and have lost over £ 100 million in the past decade, including in excess of £ 60 million since Evangelos Marinakis took over. The operating loss for the season was more than £ 34 million.

If you ask me all these signings look like a huge gamble. Marinakis knows his losses are already so big that he can get his money back only if Forest stays in the Premier League for more than one season.

See the above. We could do ourselves a BIG favour by staying out of that madhouse.
Deep down I think the board and the management team know this.
As a season ticket holder I will gladly turn up as last Tuesday to be entertained.
Let’s face it we are a small club who won’t survive in the Prem.
