RANT!

When Biden was benched, a plan fomented in mid-2023 as I understand it and finally executed when opportunity arose, Harris was the only logical and practical choice. There were politically better candidates, white males as opposed to the black female, but there was no means practicable to engineer their appointment as a candidate replacement. Harris suffered as low key vice president despite being gifted the politically power ball issue of reproductive rights, then she is black and female … and latent bigotry in America knows no bounds.

Trump was a candidate because the GOP /Republican party collectively and individually lacked the balls and values to refute and replace him.

In elections for local state assembly where i live, GOP/Republican candidates did not disclose their party affiliation when communicating to voters … such is their shame and embarrassment in their own brand.

T.R.U.M.P. = The Russians Ultimate Master Plan 😁

No shit!

So the most damning piece of data I have heard so far is comparing 2024 to 2020. In round numbers:
  • 2020: Biden had 81 million votes; Trump 74 million votes.
  • 2024: Harris 71 million votes; Trump 74 million votes.
10 millions voters went AWOL.

Seems Harris and/or her policies didn't appeal to the electorate. The UK and the US have similar requirements of their government and that is to deal with illegal immigration and the economy. The UK is fast finding out that Labour is incapable of sorting either and look an even worse bet than the Tories who were pretty pathetic in office themselves and paid the price at the ballot box for their complacency. Right now Nigel Farage and Reform are licking their lips. Like them or loathe them they'd find it pretty difficult to be as useless as the two main parties should they ever get into office.

I read today that Gareth Southgate is to receive a knighthood in the New Years Honours List. For WHAT exactly????????????? He failed to win anything as England's manager but will now become a 'Sir'! What a gravy train football has become. Managers flop, get sacked, receive a monster contract pay-off then relax in the sun until some other idiot trundles along with another lucrative offer. As for the players don't get me started.......

So here we go again with the question being raised about bent/incompetent officials. This time it's not the referee but the linesman who didn't flag Maguire's winning goal offside in added time for United against Leicester in tonight's FA Cup game. VAR wasn't in use (not until the 5th round it seems) so this incompetent clod won the game for United with his decision.

But here's the thing. As Leicester manager van Nistelrooy pointed out, this offside was so obvious it beggars belief that it wasn't flagged. It wasn't even close as Maguire was about a yard in front along with THREE other United players who were homing in on a free kick. It was nothing short of disgraceful. As it happens, earlier in the game that same linesman flagged a throw-in for United but was OVERRULED by the referee who was much further away. So how come that linesman got it wrong when it happened right under his nose? I know what I think.

Granted that United might well have gone on to win the game anyway in extra time as they had begun to get on top. But that's not the point. The point is that Leicester might have won but they were never given the chance because that decision made sure they didn't. The Leicester players, manager and fans have every right to feel that they were cheated. Let's be charitable and say that it was merely a wrong decision and nothing more sinister. My opinion on that is that the linesman showed such crass incompetence he should be immediately demoted and not be appointed to any Football League game again this season.

Officials keep making mistakes. Bad ones. Obvious ones. And in doing so have deservedly earned themselves a stinking reputation. It's long past the time when their governing body put their house in order because, if they don't, then allegations of incompetence will quickly turn to allegations of corruption. Again, I know what I already think, irrespective.

Other descriptions I've heard on the media: 'Massive mistake': Unbelievable decision': 'Dreadful decision' amongst many, many others. Is this man still going to be in a job by Monday? Imo he deserves immediate dismissal as a warning to the rest.

PS: I omitted to point out that tv showed that this linesman was DIRECTLY IN LINE with the incident. He couldn't have been better placed to correctly flag for offside. He has to be thoroughly questioned about his reasons for not doing so.

Not so much a rant as an observation. Was speaking to a guy today who must have eaten a book about cliches very recently. I got to thinking and there are many sayings in the English language now recognised as cliches that don't really make much sense or have any logic to them. You will probably know a lot more but here's a couple to get started.

"He wants to have his cake and eat it". This is usually a sneer or an accusation levelled at someone who appears to be getting too much of a good thing. Well, excuse me, but if I buy a cake or am served some cake, just what the fcuk am I supposed to do with it? Maybe wipe my arse with it!

"Ignorance of the law is no excuse". Of course it damned well is!! 99.99% of us are ignorant of the law. If we weren't we'd all be fcuking lawyers wouldn't we? Perish the thought!! (Sorry, CJ :D ). Plenty of misdemeanours are committed because the person was genuinely UNAWARE of a particular circumstance/situation and wouldn't have transgressed had they not been.

There are plenty of others but those two will do for now. Please post anything similar that irritates you. Lots of choice unfortunately.

Substitute pussy for cake .... just sayin'

The second one is a big beef of mine ... if a government passes a law, all well and good, but there has to be a duty to educate the people as to what it is, why it is, and how not to step in shit over it.

When I was a lad in the scouts I had big troubles marching. One Remembrance Day parade I overheard my Mum say “Oh look there’s my son! He’s the only one marching in step.”
So I expect I’m the only one to approve of the sentiment behind these phrases. But then I regularly tell people to “sling your hook”, “pull the chain when you’re done” and “dial 999 in emergency “

Football really has taken leave of its senses. We are becoming desensitised to the totally obscene wages being offered to professional footballers but this latest example relating to Bruno Fernandez is almost laughable. Granted he's a top, world class player but a team in the Saudi league is prepared to pay him £65 million a year on a 3 year contract!!That's £195 million!! o_Oo_O I'm sorry but that's absolutely obscene when you consider all the poverty, hunger, depravation and disease in the world.

I get that people should be rewarded for their talent but there's no sense of perspective whatsoever. Just ask what you feel you could live without and footballers/entertainers are waaaaaaaaaay down the scale behind doctors, nurses, teachers, farmers, police, armed forces, refuse collectors etc etc etc. They all provide essential services that none of us could live without but are paid a pittance in comparison. To be sure it's a crazy unfair world we live in.

Agree , that's absolutely disgusting , they should implement a maximum wage for all sports participants, a reasonable wage that they can live comfortably on is fair enough , after all they are earning a living doing what they enjoy , how many of us can honestly say that ?

and “dial 999 in emergency “
And that leads to another rant because several months ago I spent 6 hours on the floor of my bedroom during the night and 111 were of course no help whatsoever - about as much help as ice was to the Titanlc. On their advice I dialled 999 and was told I would have to wait 22 HOURS for a fucking ambulance!! This despite the fact that my left leg was trapped underneath my full bodyweight and there was every chance of gangrene setting in. My niece and her husband eventually broke in and helped me. My rant? I don't want to go into it now but government figures (which are bound to be on the low side) were released about ILLEGAL immigrants under the Freedom of Information Act recently. We, the TAXPAYER, fork out over £4 million a week to house these characters and their benefit claims have shot up to over £11 BILLION!!! Were this money made available to the NHS I wouldn't have been put through my ordeal nor others like me. As it happens, my podiatrist visited today and she is on a watchdog committee of some sort regarding such affairs. She told me of a recent case where an old lady had to spend 19 hours on the floor before an ambulance got to her. Guess I was lucky.

When I've collated my data I'll post it here but just remember who to vote for in next year's local council elections.

We have enough crime of our own without importing it. Saw the following in the Sun newspaper recently; figures that the Government reluctantly released under the Freedom of Information Act - and you can bet that this information will be understated rather than overstated. It seems that Foreign nationals are 25% more likely than British people to be convicted of theft and nearly 70% more likely to be convicted of drug crimes. They are 71% more likely to be convicted of sex crimes and, in the case of Afghan and Eritrean migrants, 2,000% more likely!!!!!

Can anyone enlighten me as to why we allow these fuckers to remain in the country? They are not civilized enough to be here; they do not respect our laws and way of life because their values are very different to ours. And let's not forget that the grooming gangs scandal up north where women and CHILDREN were raped and abused comprised mainly of Asian and people of Pakistani origin. We are importing crime and barbarity on an ever increasing scale and WE THE TAX PAYER ARE FUNDING IT ALL courtesy of what in my opinion is an insane, corrupt Government.

Look at the following figures. It now costs us £4.6 million PER DAY to house migrants. It is estimated that the bill for funding migrant housing in the next decade will be £10 BILLION, equal to 15 new hospitals. And that's before we even start talking about what they cost us in terms of benefits, healthcare and so on. Only last month it was revealed that the British state and the ruling class ARE USING THE BRITISH PEOPLE'S OWN MONEY - TAXPAYERS MONEY - to OUTBID BRITISH PEOPLE IN THE HOUSING MARKET TO FAVOUR THE RISING NUMBERS OF ILLEGAL MIGRANTS WHO ARE BREAKING OUR LAWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How many winter fuel payments; how many nurses; how many extra police on the streets could we fund with this money?

The Government and their agencies are giving incentives to landlords to FAVOUR migrants over British people who've been paying into the system all their lives. Landlords are happy about this because they get to give 5 year leases with little chance of default, funding for property repairs and even help with rising council tax bills. and, I repeat, ALL THIS WITH TAXPAYERS MONEY!!!

I have to stop now before I explode.:mad::mad: But take note that what I've posted above is not opinion, they are facts from the government itself. What to do about it? Roll on the elections I say.

PS: Queues at the hospitals and why we Brits are forced to the back of them in favour of illegal migrants was something I was made aware of by someone I met this week who sits on various committees and action groups. Seems because these migrants can't be bothered to learn English, they need interpreters who cost a lot of money being paid by the hour (our money of course). The sooner they're seen the less time the interpreters can charge for, so they go first and you go last. Nice country we live in, eh? Of course, Starmer and his ilk don't have to worry about such things because they go private and dodge all the queues.

I have never been able to get over the fact that we currently work more hours per year than the average medieval peasant. Politicians never do anything about it, or anything else meaningful for that matter.

Yet again we see a case of crass incompetence by officials in football. The Cup Final was hugely influenced by a VAR decision that I have seen described as 'outrageous', 'totally wrong', 'unbelievable', 'ridiculous', and much more along those lines. I have heard the views of players, pundits, commentators, journalists and also retired referees who have all condemned that decision. I have not read ONE SINGLE comment in support of it.

So what are we to assume? At best it seems to me to be a case of complete incompetence....... some might view it in a more sinister light. But what action will be taken against the official involved? Imo, he should be immediately dismissed and never allowed the chance to despoil a football match again.
